Saturday Smile – Up and at ’em

Sam here. Up and at ’em?! Well…I was already out there doing a 2.3 mile walk/run with mom, now I need to rejuvenate with a nap. It’s a gorgeous day out there and both mom and I are avowed morning folk. The eastern sunlight is gorgeous re-awakening lovely flowers, birds and squirrels chirping over breakfast, dragonflies flitting between pollen stops. The air is still clean and fresh and the city hasn’t quite woken up yet so it’s peacefully quiet. Mom says we’re having an exciting day today (wonder what that means-mom’s idea of excitement and mine seem to be vastly different). So get out there and make it a fabulous day!

  1. What a fun event. And for a good cause.

My husband got me a professional shoot with Honey and I hated the results. I know that many professional photographers can get great shots of dogs. But this woman didn’t.

    Shhh, don’t tell my husband.

  2. We love it! Enjoy your nap . . . live, love, bark – brilliant!

    Your Pals,

  3. Oh Sam you look super ready for action…said nobody 🙂 bless your heart! and we love the new header with all that color 🙂 gorgeous indeed..loves Fozziemum xxx

  4. Sweet dreams Sam, you are adorbs. Yes I’ve heard about all that early morning magic … never really experienced it though because 10pm to 3am is when my silly brain ignites itself on FIRE! Then I crash and become a zombie until noon whether I’m asleep or awake. 🙂

  5. I love the peacefulness of mornings and the soft sunlight. Sam looks so sweet and peaceful all curled up. What a perfect way to start the day. 🙂

  6. Sam is just the most brilliant color. That position!!! Wish I could do that. I am a night owl. I am clocking in about the time you and Sam clock out! LeeAnna

      1. lol, yep. Like Rumplestiltskin I’m toiling all night at it! Actually I have a window of energy around mid day into early evening, building til around 7 when I emerge from the studio wondering just who’s going to cook dinner! Poor husband and poodle. LeeAnna

  7. I have been “morning impaired” lately; but normally I prefer to get up early so the girls and I can enjoy the lower temps/humidity for at least a few minutes anyway. The problem with the South is that it gets hot/humid super early and stays that way long past our bed time from about mid-May until early November.

  8. I agree with you… to be the first one who greets the new day is the best. All things look like brand new and the wind brings the bestest smells to our nose :o) it’s like in that song of that cat named Stevens… morning has broken :o)

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
