Go ahead…make my day

IMG_1011  Saw this on Pinterest and nearly spit coffee all over the laptop. While I’ve known some fairly fierce Standard Poodles. Sam…ahem…isn’t in that category unless you’re the serial killer mail lady or the Chessie from down the street that for some inexplicable reason he despises though he’s never had ANY encounters with him. He’d more than likely knock you over by leaning hard against your leg or kissing you to death.

Today is the last day of September, where the heck did the month go? Yikes! Happy mid-week. October is coming and it’s my favorite color. 🙂

Live, love, bark! <3

  1. Callie was – and Shadow still is – a love muffin. They will love you to death. But Callie was a protector, too. She had a few be-be pellets under the skin of her chest from when she got between Shadow and the asshole neighbor. That sob is probably the only human my big girls never liked. Callie almost never barked at a human, except him. And Shadow would stop barking once she recognized a friendly one. I have never scolded them for barking at him…I’d bark at him too if I were in their paws. Ducky barks and snarks at almost every human except us, my friend Sabine, the pet sitters, and the folks at daycare. Crazy dog.

  2. Well there is a reason my 20 pound Westie boy is named Zeus. Normally a lover boy he can go from love bug to fierce in Mach 9 especially if he thinks anyone is messing with his Mom (me). My Zoe is 16 1/2 lbs of fierceness as well. What is the breed standard, oh yeah – possessed of no small amount of self esteem. Big dog in a little dogs body!

  3. Well, I need that sign. Cole who loves my neighbor almost bit her over the fence one day. He is sweet if I’m there, but in charge if I’m not with him. Woe to any worker that dares come in the yard uninvited. The poodle is a fierce protector. My lab was more like Sam. They come with a temperament. LeeAnna

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
