An open leter to Blogville

Dear Blogville Friends:

Last month we went dark. Several of you have sent sweet private messages asking if everything was ok. Without getting into the details just yet, life as we knew it changed in a blink of an eye and while infinitely improved, still has a way to go. I just wanted to tell you how much your thoughtful messages, thoughts and warm wishes have comforted me-you guys are really incredible! The love and caring that came through buoyed us through some very cloudy days and nights.

Sit Stay Heal

We’ll be back as soon as we can though probably not nearly as frequently as we’d like-we’re going to have to work to get back into a regular schedule. I just wanted to say how grateful I am to be apart of your community and to thank each and everyone of you for your love and support. The resident Muppet, Sam sends puppy kisses and tail wags. He’s missed you all and can’t wait to share the good, the bad and the oh-my-gosh he’s done it again adventures with you.

Be well my special friends and know we wouldn’t be here without you. <3

Your friends at the Ranch,
Monika & Sam

Live, love, bark! <3

  1. Hi Monika,
Sounds like you’re going through some tough times and you’re in our thoughts and prayers.
I have been thinking a lot about adversity since a we had a severe hailstorm on Friday and ended up with over 50 holes in our Laserlite roofing on the office. I was down at the beach taking photos when the storm hit and caught these incredible shots of dark clouds with menacing tentacles. I went back to take an after shot on Monday and you could barely tell there’d been a storm at all…unlike our place. I thought it was interesting how things still look the same but there’s still that emotional after shock. Things are quite out of synch.
It didn’t register with me at a conscious level that we hadn’t been in touch but when I saw you liked a post, I was excited. Realised it had been awhile. Take care and in case you didn’t know Tom and Max the dog have moved from Hawaii to California and the blog looks like it’s wound up although Tom says he’ll keep in touch. I hope they come back. I’ve become very fond of them. Take care and God Bless, Ro

  2. I wondered and wondered why there were no new posts. I then thought that it had something to do with my WP reader and the numerous challenges I am facing with the application. Each time I visited your page I could not see any posts. I am so so glad to see you here, again, and Sam, of course. I hope all is well, and whatever the reason for your absence, please know that my prayers are with you.

    Lots of love, Nimi

  3. I love blogging. And having sporadic internet access while we’re on the water has been frustrating. But I very much believe that it’s not a bad thing to attend to real life and let the online stuff hold for a while.

But isn’t it nice to know you’ve touched so many people who’ve never met you IRL?

I look forward to hearing what you and Sam have been up to. I wish you peace.

  4. We had been wondering….hope everything settles down for you. It’s funny how we worry about people we have never met. Be well. Looking forward to more dog trivia and Sam’s adventures.

  5. We’ll still be here when life has settled down for you. In the meantime, do try to pencil in some time for yourself, it’s very important.

  6. We love ya’ll my friend. We missed you something terrible. We know sometimes we have to step back but know we are all here for you. Sending you hogs and snout kisses. XOXO – Bacon

  7. I have been wondering where you have been. Had been worrying, but was going to give you a bit more time. Let me know if there is anything at all that I can do for you!

  8. Dear Monika, We’ve missed you and Sam and have been checking your blog and thinking about you! Blogville is not the same without regular updates from the Ranch. Sending positive thoughts your way…so happy to get an update from you! Your friends at FACE :o)

  9. I wondered what happened. I didn’t have your email address. You should put it on your “About” page. Don’t worry-you have your very own personal therapy dog.

  10. This is an amazing community – as I found out – so when you are ready to come back we will be here with hugs and lots of doggie kisses ( Benji is good at that!)

    1. Many thanks…we’ve missed all of you. Know I’ve (finally) caught up checking out everyone’s posts even though I didn’t leave any messages. Can’t get over how adorable Preacher continues to get. Just wanna leave lipstick marks all over her sweet head. She’s beyond adorable. <3

  12. Life is about changes. Whether things are good or bad, it will always change. We hope that whatever is going on that you find yourselves enjoying “good”. And yes, Blogville is wonderful!
