Yawn…Sam here. The Wi-Fi is super spotty and s.l.o.w. and it’s taken all my special dog powers to add this post. I haven’t been able to read your blogs but will as soon as we can get a decent Wi-Fi signal.
We made it to just shy of the Utah border today and boy am I tuckered out. This traveling thing is exhausting.
While we were traveling homeward, there was some parade thingy for the Broncos for winning the Super Bowl. So there are about 5 million people in the entire state of Colorado and over a million of them showed up for this parade! Downtown Denver was a sea of orange. See…mom told you about Bronco mania and she didn’t exaggerate it at all. The Broncos have demonstrated a ton of class and made the city proud. Congratulations to Peyton and the rest of the team. Way to go.
See you guys once we get a decent Wi-Fi signal! P.S. The Quality Inn in West Wendover, NV leaves a lot to be desired. 🙁
Live, love, bark! <3
Talk about traffic! Bet you’re glad you didn’t miss that. Welcome (almost) home – Colorado greets you with lovely warm weather and its famous blue skies! 🙂
It was quite balmy when we pulled up at 9 PM last night-still in the upper 50’s! Traffic ‘welcomed’ us back though. 😉
Wendover? You must be on I-80. You should have spent the night in Reno and picked up some change.
Um yeah…about that. Nevada doesn’t exactly make my heart go a-pitter. Every place we stopped throughout the state had casinos-there’s no shortage of ‘opportunities’ (?) along I-80. 😉
1/5 of the population, not bad for a parade!
I went to the last parade…boy let me tell you people come out of the woodwork to attend Broncos’ parades!
I love a good parade and talk about the Broncos – OMP! We were so HAPPY Sunday watching the game. WOW! What a bummer with the hotel’s Wi-Fi. That stinks! Don’t they know you got people to communicate to in blogville? Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
Exactly! The Wi-Fi was ‘free’ so it looks like we got what we paid for, eh? ღ
Snorts – yep nods piggy head. I hate when the hotel Wi-Fi does that. We got important things to post when we are traveling – hotels *must* know this – you think? XOXO – Bacon
Guaranteed that we will never stay in another Quality Inn again! The Fairfield Inn was an absolute delight though and we’d stay there in a heartbeat. Fabulous room and excellent signal. 😉
That sounds awesome – I’ve heard of Fairfield Inn. Another great one that we have found is Hilton Garden Inn – they are totally awesome. I’ve stayed in one of those before and it was a blast! XOXO – Bacon
Ooh, we’ll keep our eyes open for those on the next road trip! Thanks, Bacon. ღ
grrrr computers grrrrr
When it comes to computers and Wi-FI signals that don’t work, it makes me nuts. Grr indeed. ღ
That is a LOT of orange! Holy cow!
I can’t even imagine what downtown was like-heard parking was an absolute nightmare and it’s never great on a good day.
What a bummer about the quality of the Quality Inn. What a stroke of luck to be in the neighborhood of the parade! Exciting! I don’t get sports, but I like parades!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Hi Cupcake, I wish we could have attended the parade. Luckily mom has good friends who provided terrific photos from the parade. 😉
Oh how great… bet the pawrade was for Sam, all people are happy that he is back :o) we have a weird wifi-issue too… always around 6pm it turns into a snail… maybe even wifi has a labor agreement?
Ha…if only the ‘pawrade’ were for the patient poodle who fared much better than his peeps in the hotel room. 🐾 Howlellulah-the Wi-Fi only seems to work somewhat just before the crack of dawn but not at midnight. Go figure.
