Hospitality

This week I’ve been entertaining our friend, Bashful. Sam here. Other than that one teeny, tiny little mishap where we almost lost him at last weekend’s pet awards, we’ve had a pretty good time I think. He went with us to the hospital this week and hung out with various volunteers, staff and patients. But I think he’s been a little homesick the past few days. Bacon‘s mom sent some cool toys along with the little guy so I tried to make him feel like he was back home. How’d I do? I mean, Bacon and I could practically be twins, right?

Missing bro (1)

Our visit is coming to an end soon but we hope the little guy had fun while he was in the Mile High City. Here’s hoping everyone has a great weekend and that our fur-iends in Louisiana and throughout the South are safe and dry. Please keep them in your thoughts, ‘kay?!

Live, love, bark! <3

  1. It’s so nice of you to dog sit and hang with your friend while their parents are away. That piggy toy is very sweet – hoping things got a little better for you. How nice to have a wing man for your trip to the hospital!

  2. I am sure you all have had a great time playing, and working, together. You’ll probably miss him when he goes home. It was very nice of you to try to comfort Bashful with his piggy toy. Love and wags to all those who are facing horrible situations today. Hope all of the pets are safe and sound.

It was almost like looking in mirror. I’m sure my little tyke got all of his home sickness out right there my dear friend. And don’t forget that one tiny little mishap… never fear. He was just out looking for Peyton Manning his hero… besides me of course. Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon

  4. Sam, I am sure your many years as a therapy dog gives you the tools to comfort Bashful in his homesickness. I hope there are many more good dogs like you to offer comfort and support to all those who are suffering in the world, whether from flood, fire, disease or hunger.

  5. Just as well you told me – I thought you were Bacon there!! Anyway, apart from a bit of homesickness, the little man must be exhausted with all the visits. I mean he’s not a Sam and doesn’t have your stamina. All dog people are our friends so we remember our friends in the flooded states and our friends in the burning states – mainly California. We will keep them all in our thoughts.

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
