April Fool’s Day

Having been retired for a year now, I often wonder if after 25 years of pranks like this were why the firm wasn’t all that ‘sorry‘ to see me leave (actually the boss I pulled this on enjoyed it but boy was he surprised once he realized there was an inch of water in each of those cups). Bwahaha! Sadly I wasn’t able to fit all 150 cups in this photo but you get the idea. Perhaps my two knuckleheads are payback for these kinds of shenanigans. You think?

Oh little Red Solo cup…you make me smile.

Here’s hoping any pranks coming your way today make you smile. Happy weekend.

Live, love, bark! โค๏ธŽ

      1. LOL! Yup humor benefits both ๐Ÿ™‚
Glad I found your blog. Kept meaning to check your blog out when I would see you comment on Colin’s blog, but kept forgetting.
Talking about humor…. Colin and I go back and forth with words all the time. We keep it more calm on his blog but on mine…. ๐Ÿ™‚

          1. Oh definitely more interesting! Yes feel free to check them out. Friday’s 7 word stories is the latest one where you will find some exchanges. But if you want to see how it all began go to my search bar and type in From the Mountains to the Cornfields. The last 2 sentences in the post and the comments will give you a healthy dose of laughter. ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. You are fast! I see you checked out the blog post already and thanks for the follow. My posts are quite the variety. Hope you enjoy!
You got a taste of Colin and my banter, when my hubby gets into it as he sometimes does, it can get really crazy. Of course he is always on Colin’s side.
Next time you leave a comment on Colin’s post you could say how you have been getting a taste of his sly and witty side! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Oh, this is a fabulous one! We haven’t pulled one in years, but we did fill up an office with balloons once, and we also completely filled an office with streamers and wrapped every single thing in it with wrapping paper for someone’s birthday once. I’m thinking I may need to find a partner in crime and do this at my current office sometime soon – I think everyone at it would be game!

    1. A couple co-conspirators with a water pitcher and this one is easy and simple to do even with limited time. For a long time, it was the way we ‘welcomed’ new associates to the department. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

  2. Years ago I worked with a field sales rep who was heavily dependent on me – as her inside sales rep – to play interference when her customers got too demanding. One April Fool’s day I clued my IS supervisor that I was going to tell Diana I was leaving the company to go work for our vet. The supervisor, manager, and regional sales director all played along and between us we had Diana in a state of sheer panic most of the day. When she called my other field sales reps to ask if they knew about it, they played along too. The entire regional sales staff knew about it and we were laughing all day. When I finally told Diana “GOTCHA! April Fools!!” She vowed revenge – good-naturedly – but I got her again the following year with something else. She never did get me. ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Haha! Love it. One year I told my mom I was adopting a minority race baby (it turned out McKenzie is was a dark colored pupster). She nearly fainted when she saw the pic. I love those kinds of pranks! Bwahaha.

  3. My peep did something like that. The boss found his office with all the furniture stacked on his desk. Tried to blame it on the cleaning people.

          1. Worked in an academic law library post-MLS which was fine, but just out of college I worked in a big firm library. There was one particular lawyer who would call my ext. and just start reeling out citations. “I need…..”

  4. What a great prank!! I have a friend who has been trading evil and major pranks on April Fool’s Day with her brother her whole life….they have a blast doing it!

  5. I came into work one day and my cubicle was cleared out. Totally gone. The other SW’s were at their desks and knew nothing of course. They let me stew for a long time before breaking.
Does having a prank pulled on you mean they like you or don’t like you?

  6. It is highly possible that the weirdo – whatshisname — oh yes, Karma – might have had something to do with it. I believe he’s also a great prankster ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Gah! So fun. Mom liked April Fools Day when she was a 3rd grade teacher. There was no shortage of plastic bugs in everybody’s desk and giant scary fake homework assignments. And she said, “GAH! You got me.” a hundred times….

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake
