We’ve been away after a couple of intense visits at hospice and West Pines last week as well as a family emergency (all is well) but hope to have a ‘real’ post in the next day or two. Till then, how ’bout a smile? I’m a big fan of aromatherapy candles. Do you think dogs are fans in their own way? Happy Hump Day.
Live, love, bark! ❤︎
Glad everything is ok now!
We’ve missed all of you this week. We hope things are back to normal soon.
Ha! If we had any candles like that around our house, Luke would never settle down. 🙂 We’ll just keep him happy running around outside with his nose in the air. 🙂
That is just too funny! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!i

Ha ha! Honey prefers dead fish aromatherapy!
Hope you get what sounds like a much-needed break soon.
There is something very ‘special’ about that dead fish aroma, isn’t there?! Thanks for the kind words. No rest for the wicked and the righteous don’t need it, right? Still trying to determine which one am I. LOL
I sure hope those candles aren’t naturally scented!
Hahaha!
Humphrey is wondering where he can pick up a puppy aromatherapy candle….Bark, Bone and Beyond? He wants a chocolate chip cookie scented one!
Bark, Bone and Beyond. Love it!
Haha! I loved this and thanks for giving me a chuckle today.😆 So glad all is okay there and I hope things settle down a bit for you soon.
We’re just ‘eating the elephant one bite at a time’ catching up but all is well, thanks. 🙂
Hope all is better now. Funny candles!
Those spotted bums were especially funny to me.
Get some rest and regroup. That is a good one 🙂
No rest for the wicked, but we’re taking it one task at a time. 🙂 Thanks!
I’m so sorry that life has been rough. I hope that things settle down for you.
Thank you. It’ll be all good. 😊
Eau de Butt is Bentley and Pierre’s favorite scent! BOL!
Yeah, Sam swoons at that scent! 😆
Hehe. Pretty sure Reg would like that – especially if it was Rita scented. He’s always up in her biz….
Because that’s where all the information is. 😄
Glad to hear everything is well now. I do love aromatherapy. I love using lavender. Sometimes I even use it on the dogs (it’s in a spray for dogs). It may not help them but at least it helps me, LOL.
I always add some to Sam when we go to hospital, it relaxes everyone!
I will try to think about putting it on Benji more consistently. Thanks!
We apply after baths and rub some tangerine and lavender with a drop of vanilla on my hands and then go over Sam’s ears, chest and back. The vanilla is so yummy, and the other two are known stress relievers. Everyone comments on how good he smells. Little do they know they’re getting a double whammy of relief. 😍
Oh, so do love your strategy! Are you using any special brand?
I use Aura Cacia or Now most often. They are decent enough quality wise and I can pick them up easily at the local natural food store.
Thanks!
👍🏻
LOL! Thanks for the chuckle.
Hope things settle down for you soon.
Not Choppy – if it involves fire, she wants nothing to do with it (except fireworks – she will gladly attack any and all fireworks you set off in her general vicinity, which is why she has to stay inside on the 4th of July. She’s the rare dog who isn’t afraid of them!).
Don’t blame Choppy on the fireworks thing. My last dog was terrified of candles so have a great appreciation for that.
Wilhelmina’s BBF could be represented in those candles! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
Yeah, there were a couple of Sam’s friends on the shelf too!
If Lucy eats anything other than her own dog food, we get her version of aromatherapy. It is concentrated. Pheww!
Bwahaha! Yeah, that’s not the best aromatherapy for uprights. Doesn’t seem to bother the pups though. 😇
Not always true. Lexi didn’t do that very often, but when she up and left the room for no apparent reason, we knew we had better do the same!
Silly little scamp, wasn’t she! 🤢
Or smart…
Me and Stanley would like that, especially Stanley!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I am enjoying your ointments… really working to heal my skin! Maybe not aromatherapy but therapy!
So glad you’re enjoying. Hope they are helping. Probably smell a ‘tad’ better than those dog candles.
OK, do they have bird bottoms also?
I think they’re called bell bottoms, Kismet. 😆
Glad all is well with the family emergency. I think, if dogs liked candles, these would be some of their favorites. LOL
That’s too funny, perfect for the dog. Brandy chewed up a dog shaped candle last night!!!
Oh heavens…must have been just the right scent of Eau de Butt for Brandy. 🤣
The perfect candle for Houdini – snorts with piggy laughter. Sending ya’ll major hogs and snout kisses and hoping everything is okay. XOXO – Bacon
Many thanks, Bacon! We are getting better with each day. I totally see Hondini enjoying “eau de bum” relaxing on his ottoman!
Snorts! That pooch does like his ottoman. He thinks mom bought just for his cute little bum. Hilarious. XOXO – Bacon
Glad everything is ok. Family emergencies are always a concern. Don’t really know about aroma candles, I have never used them, but considering the nose of a dog is much more receptive, I should imagine they would pick up on the smell
Thanks. There’s nothing like the smell of vanilla to freshen up a winter’s evening.
I’m sure they love canine aroma therapy… specially after they had beans or other musical snacks :o)
LOL, ‘musical’ snacks. Good one!
