Red Nose Day Actually

It’s May 25, 2017 otherwise known as Red Nose Day in America. If you’re not familiar with this worthy cause, check out the video below with my favorite zombie apocalypse fighter and a few of his friends. According to its website, “Red Nose Day run by Comic Relief Inc., is on a mission to end child poverty – one Nose at a time. Money raised supports programs that ensure children in need are safe, healthy and educated. Half of Red Nose Day’s grant money will be spent in America on projects close to home. The other half will be spent in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Red Nose Day brings people together to have fun, raise money and change the lives of kids who need our help the most. Money raised by Red Nose Day in the US has benefited programs for children and young people in all 50 states and in 25 countries internationally.”  We’ll be doing our part, how about you?

  1. GREAT cause! Especially with all of 44’s greatest achievements under attack by 45 and his ship of fools. I’ve been busy with balancing my externship hours and taking care of everyone here at home. It ain’t easy – certainly not a task for the faint-hearted!! Maybe – once the externship and final exam are behind me and I can relax for more than 30 seconds at a time – just maybe I’ll be able to actually do something to help these charities that are near and dear to my heart.

  2. Red Nose Day (Australia) takes place on the last Friday in June. The day is the major fund raiser for the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome ( SIDS) The aim of SIDS is to eradicate this Sudden Death in infants by education and fundraising with the Red Nose Day not only raising funds but keeping people aware of the reasons for it all.

  3. Red Nose Day is such a fabulous charitable event!! At Pet Barrier we are big fans of having fun while raising money and also huge fans of “Love Actually”?

    1. Yay! Us too. There’s nothing like participating in a good cause and having fun while doing it. Seeing Andrew Lincoln (Rick from The Walking Dead) was frosting on the cake. 😍

  4. I didn’t understand the video. I still don’t understand red nose day. But you two pups look fabulous, darlings!

        1. Money is raised in assorted ways. You can buy a red nose at Walgreens and Duane Reade drugstores, 50 cents goes to charity (the other half covers the cost of producing the nose). The public can also make direct donations on the Red Nose Day telethon airing Thursday night on NBC.

  5. we are so bad. We blogged about it last year, this year we chose not to. I suggested to Walgreens that they make those noses with an attachment so bloggers could use them for photos. Last year I had to edit photos to put them on Dakota and Cody. Would be great if they came up with something where you could. I will probably watch tonight though, and the cause is a wonderful one!

    1. I can’t find ours but thankfully there are enough websites to approximate the image of the real deal. Elsa would no doubt eat hers though. It IS a wonderful cause and I hope to catch the NBC special tonight since those are some of my favorite actors/actresses.

  6. Dang, I can’t believe I missed Red Nose Day. My Dad said quite a few humans were celebrating Brown Nose Day at work. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  7. “Hey, it’s also Wet Nose Day,” —Spoo and Ninja, probably.
Red Nose Day would have been welcomed by most of the nuts that have hung on my family tree thanks to their inordinate fondness for strong beverages. This Red Nose Day actually does good for many! Plus it let’s Monika show off her extraordinary skills with Photoshop. snorf, snorf.

    1. Strong beverages, put me down for a double! As for Photoshop, I only wish. Luckily there are a number of websites where you can be aggravated, er I mean, creative with playing with pictures. Thank goodness for Apple! 🙂

  8. “Hey! It’s also ‘Wet Nose Day’ ” –Sam & Ninja, probably. Red Nose Day would have been a great hit with most my ancestors who were inordinately fond of strong beverages. This Red Nose Day actually does good!

  9. it’s a good way to help with having fun… and maybe the message runs over the whole world and all people will furget the bad stuff and start to work together…

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
