Word(y) Wednesday

Though today is actually Wednesday, for most people in the US who had a nice long weekend for July 4th, so it’ll seem more like a Monday. The really good news is there are only two more days till our friend Friday shows up. Woo-hoo!

Hope you had a safe 4th of July. Do anything fun or outrageous?

  1. The town fireworks were just across the basin from the marina we’re staying in so we had the view everyone envied. Very happy that Honey was content sleeping through the boom booms.

  2. You got that right my sweet friend. It does feel like Monday. It was so hard to get mom out of the door this morning for sure. XOXO – Bacon

      1. YES IT DOES! And that is for sure the word of the day. I love the way it rolls off of my piggy tongue. Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon

      1. Yes, that can be a real nightmare for people with animals that are nervous. We get fireworks in November for Guy Fawkes. It used to be just the night and the nearest Saturday, but these days it goes on for weeks!

        1. We get them for any number of occasions. The baseball team has fireworks throughout the summer after their games, people shoot them off at New Years, and of course, July 4th. It’s way too noisy for us!

  3. We got a few short downpours in the afternoon, but not enough to discourage the inconsiderate buttholes up the road. Grrr. Thankfully, they fired off their stuff pretty quickly and the rest of the boom-booms were further away.

Ducky wasn’t feeling up to par anyway, so I gave her a chill pill to help her relax. She and Shadow ended up sleeping through most of the noisiest fireworks. We uprights switched to a movie when the Atlanta-Houston score got out of control in the top of the 4th inning.

  4. It poured rain and we hid from the constant neighborhood noisy fireworks that went off anyway, Auntie Monika. They scared me so much I didn’t want to go out and pee at all! Then Daddy gave me a bath, on top of that horror! Maybe next year I’ll be able to celebrate with a chewbone or something. Milo the baby poodle
