Happy Monday, sports fans. Sam here. The family is all back home {sniff, sniff} and we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming. Today is also the day of the much ballyhooed Solar Eclipse. What are your plans for it? Hope you had a good weekend.
Live, love, bark! ❤︎
It was so much nicer not having to vexation about scarring middle balls.
Well Sam it was a big deal in Wyoming because our population doubled. We got the glasses but Bear and Sammy had to stay indoors. They weren’t at all happy. We enjoyed it. I watched it from start to finish. We had our DIL over and had lunch with her.
😎 We hoped Wyoming would keep most of the visitors so Colorado would be less crowded.
😊
I spent the whole time fighting the urge to look up even though I rarely find myself staring at the sun.
It’s always that way, isn’t it? LOL
Mew mew mew Sam mee did that frum mee pedestal bed all so. LadyMum went out to see thee eclipse an said it was pawsum. Plus mee watched it on Tee Vee frum West to East coastss of USA….It was sumfing mee must say!
**nose bumpsss** Siddhartha Henry xxxx
We were able to watch it right outside our front door. Shadow and Ducky could not have cared less, but my brother, the hubby, and I enjoyed it. It really was quite “cool”.
Every since I was a kid I’ve been scared to watch it in person. Nowadays I can see it online and not worry my eyes will get scarred.
Sam, my Huskies did pretty much the same as you did, from the comfort of their own beds in the a/c!
It was so much nicer not having to worry about scarring eye balls. 😇
It was just another day around here!
Another Monday in the books!
I slept on the couch, too, S. Mom wouldn’t let me go out because I might look up and burn my face off or something…..
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We don’t think looking up at the sun is worth giving up a nice nap. Anytime.
I was working, ran outside at the time and saw clouds and a small light.
I watched it online, the dogs slept through it. Obviously they weren’t very impressed. 😁
We didn’t get glasses so we opted to watch it on the television. LOL!
I didn’t either. TV was just fine. My goodness you’re up late! Thank you for swinging by. Now get some rest. 😇
a no show in DE. watched it on tv. i didn’t get into all the hype but did enjoy hearing peoples response to it while it was going on. a newscaster was on the phone with his mom when it was happening in South Cal. that was nice.
hope today wasn’t too blue for you adjusting back to normal after your families visit. in my thoughts and sending you hugs.
People in Colorado went nuts over it. Kind of weird actually. We’re still adjusting but getting back into our routine is helping. Sure miss them though. 😍
We stayed in the house while mom & dad watched it outside in our yard. Glad it is over

We also stayed indoors and are glad the hype is over now too.
Sam, did you really sleep through a once in a hundred year event? Even though we weren’t “hyped” and didn’t get the glasses, I still thought it was very interesting, especially how everything went “twilight.”
For the most part, pretty much. It seemed a little weird when it got dark but I was back to my pogo stick self when it moved through. 😎
I slept through it. BOL!
I don’t think you missed much. 🙂
It’s misty rainy here, so it’s pretty much just another Manic Monday! 😉
xoxo
Jakey & Arty
I hope the extra mist arrives in Denver soon.
I will be at work so won’t get to see it, but I am sure I will be able to find it on YouTube later 🙂 Stay inside during the eclipse Sam and Elsa I saw on TV that it can damage your eyes. Much love from the Life With 3 Dogs gang.
The dogs slept through it, I just waited it out by watching online. 🌘
The clouds have held off almost all morning, and will hopefully stay away for the next couple hours! I also successfully tested out my eclipse glasses over my crappy camera, and think I’ll be able to get some pictures to share of the big event!
Cool! Look forward to seeing your shots.
Nothing can eclipse your brightness Sam. Well lil’ sis Elsa might cast a partial eclipse but hey – that’s life being a big brother of a lively and equally bright ninja pup.
Awww, what a sweet thing to say. Yeah, those bright Ninja’s…such a cross to bear. LOL
No real plans since it will only be partial here. Saw one total and I’d really go for that-eerie light.
Max says: “It gets dark, I go to sleep.”
That Max is such a smart dog. 🌘
It looks like we’re getting clouds for our partial eclipse here – though I still suspect it’s going to get plenty dark early this afternoon when it shows up here.
What is the big deal? l. Eh, it gets dark. Then it gets light again.
Exactly! Thank heavens someone else shares my lack of enthusiasm for this over hyped event. 🌘
Rest is in your outlook friends. I know you’ve had your paws full lately. With the eclipse today, I’ll be camping out in my bedroom with cookies and watching television. Which I believe is the best way to watch the events today <3 Happy Monday. XOXO – Bacon
We totally agree with you. 🌘
We’re in Casper/WY, and will soon walk downtown, to the parks and/or the festival area. Totality at its high point will be 11:43 MDT. Skies are clear, so hopefully we’ll be able to enjoy the event.
Happy viewing 🌘
No eclipse plans here, didn’t go get glasses. Will be staying in!
If we do any watching it’ll be on social media. Even then, I’m not sure. There’s too much hype about the whole thing and people are acting beyond stupid about it being a ‘must-see’ event. Whatev 😝
I may forget about it actually… lots going on.
to go back to normal (whatever that means) is not easy… I loved that wild boho-time I had with my visitors… but to be alone is not bad too after a while…
we hope we really can see the eclipse partwise and maybe it will drive me eggs-tra crazy hehehe
Be safe if you watch! We’ll watch it on Twitter I think so the crazies can’t catch us.
No plans at all Sam. It just doesn’t happen here. It’s all yours. :o)
I know it’s a special thing but I can’t seem to be excited about it. Some people around here have lost their minds about it…and haven’t (yet) even looked with their naked eyes. 😎
