Monday Musings

Did you survive the Thanksgiving Day howliday food coma? Did you watch the Macy’s Day Parade or the National Dog Show or catch a few football games if you’re into that sort of thing? With Christmas now a mere 28 days away, we can now move on to the next season…the non-stop wearing of stretch-waistband leggings that is. #ThankGoodnessForElastic

Live, love, bark!

  1. We had a nice, quiet Turkey Day. Just hubby. Shadow, Ducky, and me. It was WONDERFUL! No traveling, no runs to the 7-11 for emergency grocery shopping, just football games, movies, and playtime in the yard.

  2. OMD!!!! Did you see the dog show??! The OES made the finals!!!! Ma was all a goo-goo! I don’t understand, cause I was all bummed that the Airedale didn’t win AGAIN! AGAIN!!! when are we gonna gets some respect, I ask?! Anyhu, Ma was all whispering, “come on OES, come on OES….” butts, she just knew it wasn’t gonna happen, cause ‘her dogs’ never win! sigh.
Okays, so Ma is a little miffed…butts, she was happy the Griffon won! They are adorables, and the winner had such terrierTude!
Anyhu, Ma tried to wear her leggings at Thanksgiving, butts she forgots they were the ‘workout’ ones, so the waist was a little too tight after dinner…☺

    1. Rats, unfortunately it was too chaotic and only was able to watch about 3 minutes with no volume. 😢 I would have loved to especially when there are breeds we don’t often get to see in the finals. Judges just don’t appreciate some of the more fun breeds like Airedales and Sheepies. *Sigh* Still, you’re always Best in Show with us!🏆

  3. Those raccoons clearly indulged a little too much! ;p
Our Mama wears leggings all the time . .. far more comfortable than jeans . . . especially when she is extra hungry! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo

  4. We watched some of the parade and for the first time in years mom watched the dog show. Mr Bailey always barked at dogs on TV and made it hard to watch

  5. I really loved that I could stream the Macy’s parade and dog show. It made it feel a little more like Thanksgiving even though we were far from family and could only fit two chicken thighs in our oven for dinner. 🙂

  6. I did eat way to much. Watched just a little of the dog show. I’ve decided my favorite breed is the Bernese Mountain Dog. Shhh. Don’t tell Tippy or Sam!

  7. In addition to all the holiday over-eating, we’ve got a week of vaca in Dec so it’s going to seriously be elastic-waistbands-all-the-time! Going to have to try to workout a good bit while we’re on vaca!!

  8. I am not even American (we are Canadian) and I still made a toned down turkey dinner (meaning I bought a stuffed turkey breast) complete with a ton of veggies and topped off with homemade pumpkin pie…food coma lingers on well into Monday !!! hahaha

    1. Sounds like a great way to spend the holiday. I know, Denver set a record yesterday at 74 and it’ll be warmer today. We need snow so badly, I had to water and work in the garden. Who’d have thought that’d happen in late November?! Have a great week.

    1. Only saw a one short snippet at the end of the non-sporting class and did not see the Brussels Griffon. Our group was a bit too noisy to watch much of anything but it was a nice get-together nonetheless. Have a terrific week!

  9. Oh no you don’t. I sent the last of the sweets home with my older son yesterday and I am back on the wagon!! Yep, really.

    1. Gold star for you! 🌟 Had a nice yoga session yesterday afternoon myself and felt so much better from when I penned this post. Must do it again today to help remove the lactic acid build up. 😆 Ouch.

  10. Oh yes… love spandex. It’s God’s gift to women. That photo is hilarious. And I’m gonna do something about this fat just as soon as I finish having my melt down about the move. Yep. But I’ll hold on to the elastic waist band pants, just in case. LeeAnna
