Did you wake up easily enough today? Not the best way to start out the week, is it? Speaking of this week, we’re off to the hospital for a few days so our comments may (or may not) be late. Hopefully we can get some things set in advance on the scheduler but if not, now you know why. Now to grab that 87th cup of coffee. Have a great week.
Live, love, bark❣
Haha that’s right on
Thank you!
LOL! I saw a meme that recommended the day after the losing an hour in the time change should be a national holiday! I completely agree!
The two least productive days of the year. 😀
Oh, Ma has been havin’ problems!!! super tired! Butts, me??! No prob! I even asked (demanded) my dinner on time! Ma’s gonna go take a nap nows…you knows ~ today IS National Napping Day!!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
So sorry to hear your mum is having problems. We’re sending her oodles of poodles pawsitive thoughts that things get better. Have a great snooze, sweet Ruby.
Wren definitely likes being fed an hour earlier!
They all like it now, but just wait until November and they’re giving their uprights the evil eye while staring at an empty bowl. 😊
Yes, but better than bellowing cattle – hehe!
Good point. A stare is far better than a bellow. 😊 I’m sure they’ll make their objections well know this Autumn. And in not too of a subtle manner.
Humans can be so unfathomable!
Love the pictures. That is so funny! I have no real rhythm to my sleep anyway, so an hour one way or the other really doesn’t affect me too much. Tippy was a bit like the picture when I got up early yesterday morning. She really wasn’t ready to get up at 6am/5am. LOL
Makes you wonder if our dogs zero in on our biorhythms or revert to theirs. Not Sam and Elsa were sluggish today and took more naps. Weird.
It is weird.
Oh yes! The dreaded Daylight Savings Time! Our Mama is on her elebity hundredth coffee today. Hope your hospital visits are successful 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
I’ve been drinking coffee by the gallon and still feel hungover! Hopefully it’ll get better. Even the dogs are sluggish.
UGH do we really have to go thru the time change in this day & age? The farmers’ do not need more light! The war is over! Please someone decide on one standard of time & stick to it!! I actually prefer the Autumn/Winter hours. I feel more balanced.
So far Siddhartha Henry & I have not made the adjustment. He ate supper at 3:30pm old time 4:30pm now time…far too early….so who knows when he wants his 9 pm snack…..it probably will NOT be at 9…..
I am so tired I have no idea what day it is….
Welcome to Spring right Monika?
{{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen & **nose rubsss** Siddhartha Henry xxxx
I know, dumbest thing ever conceived to keep this in place. Both dogs are snoozing much more during the day, but hopefully all of us will get back to being more balanced and enjoy the extra hour of sunshine. 🌞
Same here Monika! I think Siddhartha Henry is actually depressed. He is OK physically (I checked & rechecked) but he seems sad…. I take him out daily for a wee walk even if only for 2-3 minutes. We have snow here so it is still cold… *sighs*
It takes a few days for them (and us) to be their normal selves. Hopefully your boy will be in the pink in no time.
I didn’t have any trouble waking up this morning because I woke up at midnight and could not.. did not go back to sleep. I am useless today so I just pushed a mop around the tile floors and called it a day!
Disrupted sleep during DST should be outlawed. I’d say a nice nap would be worthwhile-forget the mopping 😊
Oh yes … I recall hearing that DST adjustment for us is about two weeks! Good luck with the hospital visit!
Thanks-visits are always impactful. I’ll eventually adjust, Elsa’s adjustment period is more problematic since her daily anti-seizure meds that must be timely precisely to avoid brain activity imbalance.
Thanks for filling me in … Best of luck!
🙂
I don’t go to work on Mondays, but had a 10:30 appointment that I almost missed! Woke up, said to hubby who had taken the day off, “Just let the dogs out and I’ll get up and feed them,” and fell promptly back to sleep!
LOL, we kind of did the same thing. The dogs were asleep deeper than I was and have taken far more naps today than usual.
OMD THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE! That’s exactly how I feel and I will feel like that til Fall!!!! BOL!
LOL, even the dogs can’t seem to get enough sleep today!
Actually, the time change didn’t have any real effect on me this time. I forgot to set my watch ahead, but I’ll get around to it sooner or later. I never wear the thing around the house anyway; and I depend more on the clock on my phone than my watch.
Hope y’all have a good week at the hospital! Maybe what you need is one of those “turbo”, super-caffeinated coffees from Starbucks?
Two pots later and I’m almost awake. LOL 😆
All the griping about going in/out of DST got old a long time ago. If you make a big deal about something then it becomes a big deal. The human circadian rhythm is less than 24 hours so spring is a breeze, fall takes more getting used to. My bedtime and waking times sometimes change by more than an hour , so DST is no big deal.
Besides, I would much rather have an extra hour of daylight in the evening than the morning. I may walk the dogs at 8 pm on a hot day, but I can guarantee I am not going to walk them at 430 am no what the forecast heat will be
Actually it is a big deal when you have a pet who suffers from seizures and needs meds timely at precise times. I’ll eventually get back in rhythm, but Elsa isn’t that easily adaptive. 😇
We don’t mind either time frame, we juist don’t like the change
They say change is good but I think like everything else, there’s an exception. DST seems like it!
We didn’t mind the change too much, the fall back change is a lot harder. But our Dad is out of town and we miss him – he is the one we can count on to give us some extra snacks:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Mom keeps asking us where are her extra treats. 😊
Your fur-iends,
Sam & Elsa 🐾
Max isn’t awake yet. I checked and he’s still breathing so I guess it’s just the effect of DST. Have a good week.
The Ranch pups seem more sleepy than usual this morning as well. I’m practically comatose. You have a great week yourself!
I actually woke up extra early – I think I was worried I would miss the alarm clock, and overcompensated!
Oh Sarah…talk about an over achiever! Bwahahaha. Good for you on getting up earlier. I’m still a sleep zombie. 💤
I’m regretting it now – I could use a nap!
I think most working peeps feel that way on the first afternoon of DST.
Handsome doggie and fun post for day light savings time ~
Happy Week to you,

😇 Gotcha!
That dog deserves the misery. It’s cheerful on a regular Monday?
Thanks for stopping by Comedy Plus. I love this post and linked it to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
Awww, thank you. And thank you for swinging by the Ranch. We 💗 visitors, esepecially those who focus on the ‘pawsitive.’ Happy Monday!
That’s how I feel today exactly. I think I need to go back to bed now. XOXO – Bacon
Move over, Bacon, I just may join you. {Yawn}
Every year we go through this exhausting transitional period. Good thing dogs can sleep until they want. Poor huMom’s eyes are so deep in her head I not sure how she sees 😉
Have a pawsome week at the Hospital making people smile.
Nose nudges,
CEO Olivia
It’s gonna be a ruff transition-I feel like I’ve been run over today. The hospital visits should be a happy diversion.
Today was ruff waking up
It was brutal. I still feel like I was hit by a truck. 😕
You had it already, we change the summer time, we call them just winter- and summer time, on Sunday 25th of March. It is amazing how your bodies know that something is wrong.
I felt like I had a hangover this morning. Ugh.
I’m definitely needing more coffee today! I actually forgot to set my alarm for this morning, so I got to catch up a little bit on that lost hour. I wonder if I subconsciously did that on purpose? 🙂
On another plus note….the animals didn’t even know their breakfast was late!!
Hope all goes well at the hospital this week.
LOTS of coffee is needed today! I didn’t change the alarm clock. Got all the 87 other clocks changed but forgot the alarm clock! LOL
Oh I nose just how that feels! Mondays should ALWAYS start wiv a puppicino
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
For the next few days, there’ll be more pots of coffee than mere cups. Eek. I feel like half the day is gone already!
We go back on April 1. Exciting, no??
My sympathies.
hahah yes… that’s how we feel ;O)
As it turned out, I feel worse that the bulldog looks. If that were even possible.
