OMG! I DO loves me some Patrick! I first “fell in love” with him when I saw him as Orry Main in “North and South” back in the 80s. I still can’t believe he’s gone! And I still can’t bring myself to watch “North and South” (I have all 3 books and the DVDs to go with them). “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost” I can handle – no problem – but not “North and South”. 🙄😢
I have not seen that one and will have to check it out. He was a terrific actor and human being who is greatly missed.
It was a TV mini-series. Part 1 started in the fall of ’87, and Part 2 in the spring of ’88. I’m not sure Part 3 ever made it onto the network’s schedule. I enjoyed watching all three parts several times before Patrick’s final journey; but now I just can’t any more.
I looked it up on IMDB and read about it. Looks quite interesting. And I’ll have to check out the novel as well from the library.
