    1. We always give her the same thing…our unwavering love and devotion which means short bathroom visits unless accompanied by a fur child. 😍 Here’s hoping you have a wonderful Mother’s Day with your sweet Honey-child. 🐕

  1. Happy Mother’s Day, Monika. I hope the Pawsome Duo pamper you tomorrow and you have a wonderful day.
My mother told me an interesting dog story tonight. My cousin’s family are living with her parents while saving up for a house. This includes their dog, who is clearly one of the family and also considers himself the dog of the house. He doesn’t appreciate that he’s one of a number of granddoggies and that one in particular might take precedence. You see another of their grandchildren has severe childhood epilepsy and has a companion dog, and he clearly has an important, even lifesaving job to do, as you would appreciate. However, the resident dog is not happy about the visitor and has made his displeasure known, which has sent at the very least a few ripples. Of course, being the resident dog, he thinks he has right of way and he doesn’t know anything about the importance of companion dogs. Meanwhile, the resident dog has also blotted his copybook by stealing food off the table. Anyway, Grandpa, who is an HR expert, has referred the resident dog for training. I guess this is the canine equivalent of the school referring you to a parenting course. I’m sure you can read in between the lines in this scenario.
Meanwhile, my friend is looking after a guide dog puppy for 12 months and has to train her along the way. The pup just loves people and other dogs and I’m like the naughty aunty. I know none of the rules and she jumps all over me. I am trying to get with the programme as I don’t want her to become a Guide Dog dropout.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena

    1. Thanks for sharing that story. I hope all’s well that ends well with both the friends. Good luck becoming a good auntie-a jumping dog is no fun whether they are a guide dog or family pet. 😇

  2. We are having a rainy weekend. But that should bring more spring flowers!

  3. Happy Moms’ Day to you, too, Monika!!

I had to enlarge the photo to realize it was a butterfly – to my poor eyes it looked like a toy resembling a snail of some sort! 🤪

We’re on our boat so our weekend is starting out wonderfully.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to the pooches. ♥

    1. Many thanks for the wishes, Michael. I only wish I could have captured Sam doing that. He has caught a couple miller moths but as soon as he tastes them, he shakes his head and spits them across the room. I’m laughing too hard to try and capture it on a camera. They must be awfully vile tasting. Sending MD wishes to Holly.
