We love volunteer sunflowers! I actually had to pull a few up because they were crowding out my herbs. But there’s still plenty left…they just got a little carried away with themselves. 🙂
I never had any lucky planting them either, so tell your mom not to be too upset. They just blew in and planted themselves and vóila! Happy little sunflowers. 🌻
I love sunflowers. When I was a kid, Mom and I found one growing n the side yard. A few years later, that same sunflower had grown to be taller than my 5’4″ frame!
The same thing happened at my last house. One day one popped up in the rocks and with each subsequent year, there were a bunch more. LOVED that and was tickled pink when I saw these new visitors. Happy weekend.

Did they volunteer to do the weeding? 😉
Bwahaha! Yeah, I’ll have to take that up with the head volunteer next week!
I love flowers showing up in surprise places. You’re lucky to have such a pretty one spring up.
Such a lovely surprise even if it’s in the middle of a flagstone path. 😇
What beautimous sunflowers!!!

A lovely gift from Mother Nature (or maybe a squirrel). 🌻
Beauties they are!!! It won’t be long before the birdies start nibbling on those seeds in the center.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Unless the squirrels get to them first. 😉
What did they volunteer for?
To pimp out the garden in unexpected spots. Like in the middle of the flagstone pathway. 😊

I like volunteers….such a lovely surprise.
Indeed they are. So surprising and so lovely.
lucky you!
What[s so surprising is there aren’t any nearby. I keep wondering where that seed came from!
They are such happy flowers …. although a patch of dandelions is a pretty happy spectacle as well! 🙂
There is something very happy about those bright yellow blooms, be they flowers or weeds. Have a super weekend.
