Monday Musings ~ November 26, 2018

We hope your howliday was full of good cheer, the best of tasty noshings and comfortable elastic pants. Did you gobble till you wobbled? Ours was nice and quiet which allowed us to reflect upon all our blessings and being especially grateful for all of you. Hopefully you survived Black Friday. Today is known as Cyber Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend and we invite you to swing by the e-shop.

Enjoy those Thanksgiving dinner leftovers this week!

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. It’s been a heck of a long Thanksgiving week here, and don’t ask me what day it is, because I haven’t had a clue since Thursday. Bonus fun: how many times do you get tornado warnings (which I slept through) and snow in the same day?

    1. Tornado AND snow in the SAME day? Are you sure it’s not 4/20? Eek. Hang in there, only a month to go till the after holiday sales craziness.

      1. Yeah, we were a bit south of where the blizzard conditions were Sunday, so we got the bizarre mixed bag weather. And all that wind… poor squirrels were probably all blown out of their nests at night!

  2. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner and the boys are still munching on turkey! I need the link to your estore.

  3. We all got a little bit of turkey, only white meat, no fat, no skin. But it sure was tasty. The humans all ate and ate and then ate some more. They said everything was delicious and that this week was for dieting:)

    Have a great week.

    1. I could easily be convinced. Self promotion is a hard thing for me, but my business agent keeps nagging me about it.

  4. I, personally, don’t get the whole pumpkin pie thing – but I’ll put pumpkin in my cheesecake and various other desserts… 😉

    1. To be complete it needs real whipping cream on it to taste good. Otherwise, it’s pretty plan. Oh and a good crust. That’s essential. But pumpkin cheesecake ain’t so bad either!

        1. They keep telling me pie crust is easy. Clearly the demons inside me strive to prove ‘them’ wrong. Thank goodness there are some commercial options that aren’t have bad. A good veggie pot pie may well be in my near future now!

          1. They are know-it-alls. My mother’s pie crust is divine. My hands are too hot. Only type I can do is a pâte brisée which just needs to be pressed into the pie plate. My pot pie is covered with a lovely store-bought flaky crust 😉 And I ain’t ashamed to admit it. I cook all sorts of other goodies and am ok with not mastering everything!

  5. I had a turkey TV dinner. The guys wanted seafood, which I won’t eat and which the hubby cooked, so I took the ease cook, easy clean option for myself and that made it the best Thanksgiving in many a year, LOL!

  6. I love the outfit on that pup. Pumpkin pie is my favorite of all pies. We too had a very quiet holiday. We like them that way.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups. ♥

    1. One of my all time favorites too. Nothing better than a good pumpkin pie with real whipped cream I say. Here’s to a fur-bulous week to you and yours.

  7. Well, of course, for us it was not a holiday but we did have a sort of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. See, Australians — never let the opportunity for a shopping spree go to waste and to that end, we’ll copy anyone’s holiday as an excuse to crank up the credit card.

    1. I heard a story just over the weekend that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are becoming a global thing. There are some things that probably should not be copied. 😇

  8. We had less food this year than in previous years (on purpose) and I seemed to enjoy it more. Sometimes less is indeed more. But blessingings were grand and plentiful as always and for that I am grateful. Good luck with the e-store today. I hope your servers are overloaded with shoppers!
