    1. Yes! Ent trees. I had totally forgotten about those trees in the Lord of the Rings.

    1. Aspens are everywhere and because they have a rhizomatic root system, they are technically one of the largest living organisms in the world. OK in the mountains but not so much in the urban landscapes where they are invasive and difficult to remove. I edited the photo to indicate it was an aspen after John Howell thought it was a birch. Around here, I hardly ever think of birch trees, though there are some, it’s not my first thought when I see a white barked tree. Should have realized that when I published.

    1. Just goes to show we’re always being watched, whether it’s CCTV or nature. Happy Wednesday.

    1. It’s actually an Aspen, but a lovely tree to come across in the mountains nonetheless.
