    1. The snow, while inconvenient, sure greened everything up (though I would have preferred simple rain). It’s rained most days since the snow storm with ‘crisp’ temperatures. One of these days spring/summer will arrive. I hope!

  1. That looks cold and just the weather my mom and I love. I can just see myself digging holes in the snow as I do on the beach. Our winter is also close but no snow. 🙂

    1. It’s been one weird spring. it’s not uncommon to receive snow in early May but this late, well…that just had us scratching our heads!

  2. Oh noes! Man, Winter doesn’t want to give up the ghost! We’re still getting rain too (May through Sept. are usually our dry season)! Butts, on the bright side, our grass has never been greener! BOL!
I hopes you gets your Spring weather back!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

    1. Thanks Ruby. We hope to break the cold wet cycle tomorrow for a couple of days at any rate. 🤞🏻

    1. Lupines, peonies, irises and fresh herbs. Everything but the herbs seem ok. 😒

  3. Not more snow! That is getting ridiculous. Maybe you will go straight into summer.

    1. Yesterday. Only about 4” and it’s chilly. The snow has melted though. Rain forecast for later. 🙄

  4. As there was a commercial in Germany years ago, saying “Der naechste Winter kommt bestimmt.” [The next winter is sure to come]. 😉

  5. OMD, we thought you were getting flooded with rain, not that cold white stuff. Pee s. Could you please send me some? I didn’t get any snow like I wanted this winter. Xox Xena

  6. Sad to say there’s more yuck weather headed your way. This has been the year without Spring in Southern California. The weather system currently passing through has it sights on you. Keep those doggies (and yourself) warm!

    1. I noticed the extended forecast. Another cool one next week…but this kind of cool 🥶not 😎

  7. Oh my. We’ve had a lot of rain, but snow and it’s almost June.

I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Stay warm. ♥

    1. Thanks! The cool temps will continue through most of next week. It’s nuts to have the furnace running at the end of May!

        1. It’s so weird having the furnace on this time of year, isn’t it?

  8. Mew mew mew Miss Monika an Sam an Elsa do you REELLY have snow?? EEKKKK!!!
Wee hope it meltsa soon an Spring can ree-sume her normallee scheduled purrogram! 😉

    1. It was gone by the afternoon (the beauty of spring storms) but the cold will stick around for a while.

  9. My daughter is in Wyoming through next week and every day I get another text or phone call complaining about the cold weather (She’s a warm weather girl) LOL.

Snow is a lil bit ambitious, even for Mama Nature.

    1. Hope she is able to endure it well. It’s supposed to stay fairly chilly even well into next week here.

  10. See? Proof there is no global warming 😉
Hope this silliness stops and stays away till December!
    Lovely shot, though 🙂

    1. It really was crazy. Snow on Mother’s Day is not without precedent, but May 20th? Now that’s a whole new reality.

        1. I really don’t mind spring snow storms, just turning the furnace back on at the end of May is what I mostly mind.

  11. Just a few miles from you, we seem to have no buffers. It’s freezing til it’s blisteringly hot, then later in the day freezing again! But your picture is gorgeous.
The weather person on tv said, it’s a freak of a storm, EVEN Denver is getting snow! I laughed. we get a lot of precip on the “steppes” but since we went out three times to shake off some snow, we only lost one branch and got bent bushes. LeeAnna

    1. My trees were lucky, a couple of basil plants are more than a little cheesed about their condition. I hope they will recover. 😬
