Wish I Was There Wednesday ~ August 7, 2019

On a day when the forecast is calling for temperatures in the upper 90’s, I wish I were back at Blaue Haus Café , a charming 100 year old house located in Oberstaufen, Germany (Bavaria) where the folkart was whimsical, the coffee and cake delicious and the garden charming and peaceful. How about you?

  1. We were wishing we were somewhere hot for a bit, it was starting to feel like summer was already over here! Luckily it’s warmed up again – not as warm as you though! 🙂

    1. I’ll try to send the next 10 day forecast. Sunny and 90 or higher. #wherestherain

    1. It was a fun place to spend several hours relaxing over some tasty coffee and cake.

    1. A charming place to spend an afternoon. The coffee and cake were quite divine and finding that painting in the cute shop was the cherry on top.

    2. It was one of the loveliest Victorian homes I’ve been in with each room styled according to color. The blue room was my favorite. No, wait, the red room…um, maybe the green room-no it was definitely the white room. Oh heck, I loved them all! 😍

  2. When it is really hot it takes me back to my student days, touring France by train, and breaking my budget by buying a citron presse at the station caff at Nimes…

  3. I’m so ‘in’ Monika! What a delightful looking café…..
Is still hot & humid here & we have a ‘ninja’ fly trying to drive both BellaDharma & myself crazy! Where is Autumn?

  4. I’ll come with you. I could use some coffee and cake.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  5. I simply would like to eat one more dinner in a restaurant in town that has long since closed. I always made our reservations for the book room. It was literally just that. A room lined wall to wall with books. There was something about eating in that room, it just added to the whole experience.

    1. Those kinds of places in the middle of a crazy, hectic world are such a spot of sanctuary and comfort.

  6. I love old houses and can;t resist going into one–unless it requires breaking and entering. I would rather not go to jail.

    1. This (basically) B&B had such charming corners and nooks. I could have stayed there for days.
