What a beautiful sunset sky, and reminds me of that old country classic “Take Me Home Country Roads”. Haven’t heard it in ages and will have to check it out now. Our local roads aren’t good on the pothole front either and I sometime wonder whether I’m going to lose a tire down there.
However, my focus was rather distracted by your painting of Norman and Elsa. Well, to be honest Norman in his Christmas attire. He’s gorgeous!
As it turns out, I’ve just been granted an extra day for 2021. You know how it is between Christmas and New Year and you lose track of the days. I thought tonight was NYE. I’d got myself all psyched up for the big crossing over and I have another day to get my crap together from 2021 and be somewhat ready for the New Year.
Well, I have a support worker here cooking and cleaning and so I got stuck into our overcrowded pantry. Clearing that out felt remarkably cathartic. I keep hoping to sort this place out but it’s so hard. Anyway, small steps…
Best wishes,
Rowena
The holidays are always a mash-up of chaos, it’s already starting to get crazy here with stores with isles of Christmas related decorations and toys out for the past month. Yikes!
Gosh that is one gorgeous shot…..what’s particularly cool is that FAR FAR away structure that’s so tiny and rather “insignificant” in the open stretch of God’s beautiful sky.
Yeah, sadly this is in El Paso county where you are constantly weaving between potholes. Makes you feel like a running back doing a complicated route sometimes. 🙄 All the while cursing the district’s dingbat U. S. representative who apparently doesn’t think paved roads need to be maintained. 😬
Thank you. It was the kind of sky that could turn anyone into a true believer. LOVE your New Year’s sentiment. I’ll remind myself of that as I reflect on 2021 this week. Hugs and tail wags to you and yours.
Thanks. It’s not the best photo because I was moving fast, but the colors were just too fabulous not to give it a try. One of these days, I’m going to actually stop and do it proper.
Awesome sunset. We could use a little sun in the NW. we’ve received almost 2 feet of snow with the current storm and we usually get less than a foot total per year! Snow snow go away, you’re real pretty, but such a pain…. 🤭
THAT is a sunset!
There are some stunning ones along that stretch of the Front Ranch.
I believe it
Ir’s Kowlifurnia burning again.
The sky did look like it was on fire.

Lulu: “Sunrise, sunset …”
Charlee: “Swiftly flow the years?”
Lulu: “Huh? No I was just thinking either one is a good time to go look for bunnies.”
Thanks guys for planting an ear worm! I’ll be humming that song all day now. 😇
I just noticed your lovely holiday header. Did you paint that? Safe driving, and don’t read and drive, LOL!
It’s from this year’s howliday photo ☺️
You’re right…reading and driving don’t go together. 😇

I think it’s an old fashioned silhouetted windmill.
Must have been one of those unusual stretches of Colorado highway without a pothole. I’ve heard of them but never actually saw one. 😁 Nice photo!

That is a lovely sky. When the view is wide like that the skies sure look magnificent!
Those wide open spaces have some amazing sunsets.
What a gorgeous sky shot!
Embrace the New Year with an open heart and a fierce spirit. Cheers to new horizons! See you in 2022!

Thanks, BellaDharma and BellaSita. The colors were riveting!
And you took that from the car? Amazing skill!

That is a beauty!! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure. It’s amazing what you’ll see traveling along the Front Range. 😉
I can only imagine (so far 😉 )
WOW! That’s awesome, and I’m sure the phone screen doesn’t even come close to doing it justice!
It truly was an awe-inspiring sunset.
A beautiful sunset too. Wow.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a hug to you. ♥
Thanks, Sandee. That was one pretty spectacular sunset. Happy midweek.

Wait, 2 feet??? Whoa. Please feel free to forwarding any unwanted snow to the Mile High. Happy mid-week! Stay warm and cozy.
A beautiful photo, Monika.
Thanks. Sometimes you’ll see the most amazing sights going 75 mph!
Nice about Texas it has 80 MPH zones.
I usually drive a couple mpgs below the speed limit. If I was going 80, I wouldn’t have be able to get anything other than an orange stripe!
That is true. In the 75 zone it is customary to go only 7 over. The 80 zone on 5 over. Not many are taking photos at those speeds.
are you traveling now? to see family again? be safe!
I’ve returned from visiting the family. That pic was from the road on the way home.
Cheers to your beautiful sky!
Thanks, Frank. Cheers from the road.
