    1. Sometimes they show up delayed (not sure what causes that but they do show up eventually). I’m sure it will show up soon. I saw a couple from you on Wednesday’s post.

        1. You’re too sweet. We’d never think that. We know how technology can hassle us mere mortals (usually more than once). Hang in there.

    1. Why thank you! I never had any luck with bleeding hearts before so this one just leaves me smitten with its beauty.

  2. Those are always so pretty, I have a few of those bleeding hearts too…once I had 2, almost as big as shrubs, but now I only have one medium one and a couple smaller ones. Not sure what happened to the bigger ones, maybe they were too wet and froze over the bad winter we had that year.

    1. This bush has sprouted a couple of smaller ones nearby in the poppy mallow. Always a treat when I discover another one. For years I couldn’t grow Bleeding Hearts to save my life, now it seems like it’s foolproof {knock on wood😉).

    1. Thanks, Caren. For a couple of weeks, they are exquisite. Hope you’re staying comfortably cool with the heat dome.

    1. Thanks. Bleeding hearts are one of those old fashioned flowers that work so well in a cottage garden.

    1. Thanks. Good point on experiencing a literal bleeding heart. But nature must have decided to make it extra lovely to make up for the human condition with the same name.

  3. So beautiful. Wow. Love the colors.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to you. ♥

    1. Thank you, BellaDharma and BellaSita. They are one of those statement flowers that brings out the wow factor from nature.

    1. They are such a beautiful flower, so unusual. It’s like nature left her purse behind.

    1. Thanks, John. I struggled for years to grow Bleeding Hearts so when this bush blooms, I’m grinning from ear to ear.

            1. Interesting. I have one that stays in the house in the winter but lives outside under a covered patio during the summer. It doesn’t seem to mind our heat, but then again, it’s a ‘dry’ heat.

    1. They truly are and with the morning light behind that one, I thought it was extra special. Happy Hump Day.
