Sometimes they show up delayed (not sure what causes that but they do show up eventually). Iโm sure it will show up soon. I saw a couple from you on Wednesdayโs post.
Those are always so pretty, I have a few of those bleeding hearts tooโฆonce I had 2, almost as big as shrubs, but now I only have one medium one and a couple smaller ones. Not sure what happened to the bigger ones, maybe they were too wet and froze over the bad winter we had that year.
This bush has sprouted a couple of smaller ones nearby in the poppy mallow. Always a treat when I discover another one. For years I couldnโt grow Bleeding Hearts to save my life, now it seems like itโs foolproof {knock on wood๐).
โBleeding heartsโ sounds for sure like something we wouldnโt want to experience, but who wouldnโt like to experience these bleeding hearts in their garden? Beautiful.
Thanks. Good point on experiencing a literal bleeding heart. But nature must have decided to make it extra lovely to make up for the human condition with the same name.
Interesting. I have one that stays in the house in the winter but lives outside under a covered patio during the summer. It doesnโt seem to mind our heat, but then again, itโs a โdryโ heat.

Extraordinary! Thanks for sharing! ๐
Why thank you! I never had any luck with bleeding hearts before so this one just leaves me smitten with its beauty.

Lulu: โI feel like I want to hit those flowers with a tiny little hammer and listen to the music they make when they ring โฆโ
Hahaha. Little ping like sounds in the garden-I like it!
They look like a combination of hearts and partridges.
Youโre right-they do!
Beautiful! <3
Thanks, Eliza. They have such a striking flower.
Awesome capture of beautiful blooms!!!
Woos โ Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Why thank you. That morning light was so beautiful.
Wow!! Gorgeous!!
Thanks! Appreciate that.
those are gorgeous!!
Thanks, Caren. For a couple of weeks, they are exquisite. Hope youโre staying comfortably cool with the heat dome.
Love!
Thanks. Bleeding hearts are one of those old fashioned flowers that work so well in a cottage garden.

What a super photograph! They were called coeur de Marie in Franceโฆ
They are such a beautiful flower, so unusual. Itโs like nature left her purse behind.
how pretty, ainโt nature grand?
She can be very grand and generous at times. Have a super Hump Day.
Beautiful, Monika.
Thanks, John. I struggled for years to grow Bleeding Hearts so when this bush blooms, Iโm grinning from ear to ear.
I can imagine. I feel the same about hibiscus. They are a bear to grow here.
Really? Iโd think with your humidity and heat theyโd be great.
Too much heat. They like it in the 80s

We have tried sun, shade. I just think 30 days above 100 degrees is not something they like.
I can empathize. I wouldnโt either.

I love bleeding hearts โ so pretty!
They truly are and with the morning light behind that one, I thought it was extra special. Happy Hump Day.
