Monday Musings ~ October 12, 2026

Welcome to Monday. Can’t believe the weekend is already over. There has been way too much to do lately with an ever increasing list of things to take care of, including servicing of the car with hours of waiting. While the following “model” will be serviced next week, I couldn’t resist turning him into today’s groan pun. Hope you enjoy a wonderful Monday.

Wilson - Fur-rari

Live, love, bark! 🐾

    1. Tails Around the Ranch – Denver, CO – The inspiration behind this blog was one knuckleheaded Standard Poodle named Sam but is now inspired by a House Pony-Wilson. I'm Monika, the upright. Living in the Denver metro area, we post about dogs, rescue and nature. So grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to howl along with our adventures. And don't forget to bark your 'pup-tacular' comment; we'd love to hear from you.

He needs to be groomed in the worse way-he looks like the Lorax : ). Next week he’ll be much more debonair to go with his Fur-rari personality. Hope it’s been a great Monday, Lisa!

Thanks. I’m a total pun lover-the bigger the gross the bigger my smile. Hope you guys are drying out and things are getting back to normal. Happy Monday.

  1. John W. Howell – South Texas Gulf Coast – I have been working in business for over forty years and now have the time to work in special areas of interest. My passion has always been to create compelling stories of fiction. I have authored six novels and am working on my Seventh. The first novel is still in manuscript form and being utilized as a door stop in the laundry room. The second is a contemporary fiction novel of 89,000 words and is complete and I am currently seeking a publisher. I also write poetry but have not had the guts to share any with anyone. The one time I read a piece to a person their only comment was, “it doesn’t rhyme.” I will continue to write and hopefully my blog, Fiction Favorites at www.johnwhowell.com will provide some entertainment and an interesting thought or two. I live in the Austin area with my wife Molly and an assortment of loving pets.

Great pun, Monika. I like Wilson’s stash.

  2. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. 3. And that Fur-rari would be in good company with his friend the Aston Martin Bulldog. 🙂.

Life can be a lot of hurray up and wait at times. As James Taylor wrote and sang, “the secret o’life is enjoying the passage of time”. I hope the passing of time is good to you and enjoyable through the coming week!

  6. Bwahahahahahaha and Awwww. Wilson is so handsome. We’re busy here too.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays as always.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to the Fur-rari. ♥

The older I get the harder it is to keep up with stuff. I’m not used to all the doctor appointments. Glad you enjoyed today’s feeble attempt to illicit a smile on a Monday. As always, thanks so much for including us on your link. Have a terrific Monday Sandee.

The timing couldn’t have been worse but it’s one of those necessary things. In retrospect, it was probably a good thing since they found a screw in a tire (thanks construction crew-will be so glad when they’re done with the new townhouses they’re building). Normally they have a loaner so I don’t feel like a hostage but they didn’t have one that day. Sigh. Here’s hoping there are no long waits on your Monday.

  8. Life has been way too crazy around here for the past few weeks too. We are ready for a break! Have a Grand week!

  10. onespoiledcat – Virginia – We are Angel Sammy and Teddy......! Two ginger cats - one left for the Rainbow Bridge in December of 2016 (but still keeps in touch...) and the other in the "here and now" having lots of fun. Join us as we try to bring smiles to everyone around us with our blog.
    Pamela J Kimmell says:

We love “groaners” – bring it on. Besides, Wilson doesn’t look much bothered by it so we’re happy with the pun too. Fall is busy – leaves down, sweaters out of the back of the closet, removing dead flowers, etc. in the garden…….sigh……but I have to admit the cooler temps are nice! Hugs to you AND That Boy Wilson!

    Love, Pam and Teddy

We do too, though I know some folk don’t but I can’t help myself. Yikes, your busy autumn reminds me of more things I need to take care. Lately, it’s only been doctor’s appointments and lots of unproductive waiting times. Sigh. Wilson says thanks for the hug and we both hope you have a terrific Monday!

  11. BellaDharma an BellaSita Mum – On Georgian Bay..... – Welcome to THE Purrfect Pad. My name is Sherri-Ellen & my current Kitty Girl is BellaDharma a black part Siamese cat. I started blogging in August 2005 on Yahoo 360 with Mingflower my Bluepoint Siamese. Then transferred to Multiply...Mingflower went to Summerland & NYLABLUE my BluePoint Siamese/Burmese cross took over. When Multiply was closing a handful of our blogging friends recommended WordPress & we found a home here & made many new friends. Everyone followed the antics & struggles of NYLABLUE until her passing Nov. 22nd, 2014 to Summerland. A week later a little bouncing Burmese boy I met at a local adoption event joined me here! Dec. 9th, 2014. Purrince Siddhartha Henry came to live with me & regaled us with his journey towards 'Enlightenment'. He was a Burmese Buddhist with many health issues but he searched for meaning in his Life. After his lifelong struggle with Panleukopenia. Siddhartha Henry lost his battle & left for Pure Land August 28th, 2018. He was only 4 years & 1 month old. I've never totally gotten over the loss of my "Little Man". And this is where I get VERY serious. This Purrfect Pad blog is not all sunshine & roses. This blog is about REAL life with special needs cats who come into my life. We share our time together & we share the good, the bad & the ugly. This is a REAL blog. Yes we DO laugh & have fun & take Selfies! And we share each cat's struggles whether health issues or behavioural problems. And we share about my ongoing battle with 3 health conditions that can render me unable to walk plus having Cirrhosis of Liver & Seizures. We ask our friends & followers to respect that THE Purrfect Pad is anything but 'purrfect'. I am disabled & each of my cats' have had special needs. Everyone is welcome here as long as you are kind & respectful. If you have questions feel free to ask them. Sept. 6th, 2018 BellaDharma aka Baby Girl joined THE Purrfect Pad. We hope all of you will follow our life together as BellaDharma learns how to be a domesticated cat instead of a semi-feral one.... Love, Peace & Treets, Sherri-Ellen (BellaSita Mum) & BellaDharma & 'angels' Purrince Siddhartha Henry; Nylablue 'Sweet Feet' & Mingflower the Merciless & all my other cats who have shared my life with me. You are all loved & remembered...
