We have Jerry Underfoot who waits until he hears huMom move in bed. He jumps up purring & meowing loudly while he head butts her. If that doesnโt work he comes over & licks the inside of my ears; I donโt like it. If that doesnโt work then he wake GG our pigbro. No one sleeps if GG starts blowing his oboe ๐
Nose nudges,

I love that Jerryโs name! It makes me giggle thinking how he got it. After meeting a little piglet recently I can only imagine the racket the โoboeโ makes. Those guys are pretty โsquealy.โ
Luke is our first dog in a long time that I have to rouse out of bed in the morning!!
Aww, donโt you LOVE those dogs that are happy to sleep in a little?
hahaha so true and mine scratch my eyes out
Nothing like the well placed paw to wake up a human.
๐
I love waking up to that sound. ๐
Better than any alarm clock!
I scratch the bed until Granny gets upโฆMOL ๐ Pawkisses for a Happy Day ๐ <3
Thatโs a little hard on the furniture, Binky. Why not just meow. Loudly. ๐น
I do that tooโฆMOL ๐
Thatโs the spirit!
Rosy would much rather walk up the length of your body and lick your face :-).
Youโre lucky she doesnโt weigh almost 60 lbs. The kicking part isnโt so bad, itโs that weight thing thatโll really wake you up!
Hazel tip toes around and makes little snuffing noises hoping the peeps will wake up. Me I just attack with kisses and if that doesnโt work I pull the covers off!
hugs
Mabel
So, basically the subtle approach? BOL
Hello from Mountains of North Idaho stop in from H and Z any how who could love that face.
If you have time stop in for a bone.
Thanks for swinging by the Ranch. We ๐ visitors and will drop by for a looky-look (and a bone). ๐
Callie used to rest her chin on the edge of my pillow and stare at me until I woke up. And she always knew when I was pretending to be asleep. And then she would start wagging her tail like crazy. I miss that girl. ๐๐ถ๐
Aww, so sweet. My first dog in Denver used to thump his tail at the wall and breathe in my face. He somehow managed to know what I was faking sleep too.
We sleep in the kitchen, Mom and Dad are upstairs in their bedroom. We canโt make noise up there, but we do a great job of dropping our bones all over the hardwood floors โ they are super noisemakers:)
Woos โ Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Way to go, guys!
I love this! My Golden used to whack his tail on the nightstand all of the time. Bentley scratches my sheets and gives me kisses to wake me up. Dogs do not have snooze alarms.
They sure donโt. And often donโt understand the difference between 4:30 am and 6:00 am. ๐
I donโt know. Why do I get the feeling that I am missing out on something? If Benji ever woke me up there would two moons in the sky. Iโm the one first up and the one that rouses him from his slumbers. :o)
Trust me, youโre not missing a thing! ๐
Tails of Mass Destruction. Not a Maltese issue.
LOL, no I guess probably not. Youโre definitely missing out though.
I take the collars off at bedtime to try to prevent that noise. But in the morning Xena click, click, clicks on the hardwood floor around the bed, up the wood stairs to the bed. Looks at me. If I keep my eyes closed, she click, click, clicks back down the stairs and to her her bed. 5 minutes laterโฆ.you get the picture. Usually starts around 4:30 a.m.after my hubby gets up for the day and lets them out to potty. The bags under the eyes just keep getting bigger.
Itโs mostly the thump, thump, thumping of Samโs tail nest to the bed that wakes me. Well that and a 55 pound pile of fur that has jumped up on top of me. โWhat, who, where am I?โ Oh, hi Elsa. ๐
Xena jumps on Jeff, but thatโs only about 15 pounds. Lucy is much more polite, in hopes of being allowed to stay in bed with us. She has lots of touch needs, and I bet Elsa does, too.
Sheโs extremely jealous of Sam who I love coming up on the bed and snuggling with. He is patient and calm. Sheโs demanding and insatiable with attention. And she snores like a Stevedore!
Mr Speaker climbs up on the cabinets every morning. But sans the grace at five in the morning. In fact, it sounds like a panther has gotten loose in the house. But he knows what heโs doing. ๐
They always do even if us mere mortal uprights canโt figure it out. ๐คฃ
HAHAHA!
See, Speaker knows that it will get him fed just soโs we donโt have to hear him leaping around any longer. Who rules the planet, really? Our four legged partners . . thatโs who.
With an iron paw!
You got that right!
just so happens that Sat morning Milo wanted me up, so he came up to lick me awake. Then he pushed an inch too far and knocked over the bedside table spilling my water glass, book and lamp all to the floor. He beat a hasty retreat lest he be blamed for that mess. I was awake alright.
โHel-lo, ma!โ Then they sayโฆI didnโt do it!
I remember this. Itโs usually because they want something. Just saying.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day, Sam and Elsa. My best to your mom. โฅ
They just want me up! LOL Thanks for the link to Awww Mondays. Have a pawsome Monday!
Yup, we got Kaci. After the tail, she turns around and gives face kisses and gets into it so much that her teeth get into the action. She doesnโt mean to, but the teeth are annoying.
Elsa will nibble my shoulder if you donโt pet her. After sheโs nose nudged you wide awake.
yep โ put me down for two. Kali throws in some heavy panting for good measure.
LOLโฆnothing like the hot breath of a dog when youโre sound asleep. Is there? Especially when they jump up on the bed and make it shake with the over exaggerated panting. Ok, okโฆIโm up already. ๐
Hopefully they do it at a reasonable time.
Oh-dark thirty Is reasonable? We wake up robins!
Ouch!
Tell me about it. Going to bed at midnight and being awake at 4:30 or 5. No worry Iโm a babbling fool during the day!
Hang in there!
Iโm turning into a kindergartenerโฆI need a blankie and a nap anymore! LOL
Embrace it! ๐
Around here, I have to wake up Choppy most days!
Those were the days before Elsa. Now EVERYONE must get up early so Sam figures itโs his duty to help me. I think heโd rather sleep in, at least until the bird are awake.
Ah, the new kid comes in and everything gets changed! The only exception to Choppy being woken up here is an occasional weekend if I decide to sleep in a bit โ though usually Choppy is content being let out, given a treat, and coming back up to bed.
Funny how the โbabyโ of the family always seems to dictate things.
People or animal baby, it doesnโt matter.
Good morning to yโalls! Here, we have nobody to wake us up but ourselves โ and sometimes our alarm clocks. Our kitties are not in the house. And even when we had doggies and they were inside, they never had access to the bedroom.
In a way, thatโs kind of nice. But I donโt think I could fall asleep if the dogs arenโt in the bedroom. Itโs always something, isnโt it? ๐
๐
Yup โฆ got one of them! If I pretend to be asleep after he has butted me with his nose, he drops his significant weight onto the floor with a very significant โclumphโ!
Oh boyโฆa clunker and a thumper! ๐
Gotta give him full credit โฆ. it works!
They definitely know how to make their presence and needs known quite effectively.
