It’s not a full tongue out, I’m just practicing to get ready for my week at the hospital so if you don’t hear from us, you’ll know why. Today’s gonna be a hot one but I’m looking forward to seeing my friends at the hospital and hospice. Stay cool and look for us in a few days.

  5. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.

  7. CC – Cristina is Italian born, and though she has lived most of her life all over the U.S. she considers herself Italian...she just can't speak it very well! As with many other things, she is working on that (although it's a bit harder the older she gets). Still, there are just so many hours in a day. After leaving the lovely climes of Southern California she went to the heat, humidity, and insect-infested state of Alabama. She struggled for five years to be a "big girl" amidst the crickets-on-steroids, the snakes, scorpions, and other creepy crawlers of the day (and night!). It really is true what they say; "It's a jungle out there!" After another stint in Northern Virginia she is trying once again to find a new normal (as well as some bliss) in her new state, Florida. Cristina is happily married to a loving husband and has two grown children. Her medium-standard poodle love crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023 but he remains forever in her heart.

    My boy has got the dark coat going for him and pants-a-plenty, even in the early morning summer heat. Fortunately he’s got a shaded path to enjoy his morning constitutional on but then there is the worry of ticks. It’s always something.

    Heat, warmth, nice…. It’s cold in the mornings and evenings here. Sometimes it’s nice during the day, but very cold in the dark. I feel for the Ninja and her dark fur coat but I have no doubt she will find a cool spot to occupy. Hope you have a good week. Take care.

  17. Brenda Miller – Broomfield, Colorado – I grew up in the volatile times of the 60’s and 70’s. Experiencing the assassination of our great leaders of reform, witnessing the craziness of Woodstock and burning bras, proud of the Supreme Courts decision on Roe versus Wade, and watching the horrors of the Vietnam War formed my views at an early age and have not wavered over the years. I have faced insurmountable challenges along the way. But life taught me to be brave and face my fears, moving forward no matter what. There is no challenge left undone, no heartbreak left unfelt, no chance I don’t take. I refuse to be defined by what others think I should do or what other people are doing. I learned that you can either sit back and let life go screaming by, or jump in and make a change….left, right or barreling straight ahead. It’s your choice. 
I hope that you will join me on this crusade for Social Justice. Look for opportunities to right the wrongs in this chaotic world of crisis around us right now.

      Last Friday it was 48 when I walked the dogs (otherwise known as paradise) but now we’re back to typical summer temps (in other words, warm early and HOT, HOT, HOT the rest of the day). Mother Nature seems to be having hormonal issues. 😎
