How is this position even possible, let alone remotely comfortable for snoozing? Is Sam part slinky or is this a new form of yoga? Talk about being twisted. 😉
How do you nap when you’re exhausted?

He’s snoozing? OMG I thought he was on an itch!!
I’m telling you…slinky boy!
Thought maybe he had a itch and was nibbling on himself.
Sam is definitely a contortionist. I have ended up in a few awkward positions like that after falling over. I have double-jointed elbows too which make for some fun. They’ve made a few people feel a bit queasy….especially in class when it went out of joint when I stuck my hand up xx Rowena
We’re going with Doga too!
Murphy & Stanley
Haha! I thought that she was biting herself That sure doesn’t look comfy for napping!
I often wonder how dogs can find certain positions comfortable! I totally think Sam is part slinky 🙂
Baffles me completely!
Lulu does that too=so weird. We call it ‘The Duck’ 🙂
it doesn’t look comfortable but it sure looks cute. Maybe that’s what Sam was going for.
Makes my neck hurt just looking at him! 😉
Sam, that’s just crazy! Personally, I sleep with stick legs – all four straight in the air 🙂
Sam looks cute in all positions!
There are a lot of possible positions. The goal is to master “The Pretzel”.
Reminded me of our cockatiel when she’s wraggle her neck around like that. Do you do that, Kismet?
It’s standard in the parrot family.
Haha…Maggie does that sometimes too.
I just cringe whenever he does that. Makes MY neck hurt! 😉
WOW! That is a precarious position. I myself just usually stretch out with my front hooves out and my back hooves behind me wrapped up in my Egyptian cotton sheet. XOXO – Bacon
Oh Bacon, you lead such a charmed life! Notice Sam is on hardwood floors (even though there’s a cushy bed nearby)? Poor guy, I’m surprised he doesn’t get a kink in his neck!
snorts – I saw that. I do know that my life here is charmed and that I am slightly spoiled. I say slightly because you know there is *always* more room to be more spoiled – snorts. XOXO – Bacon
Wow, Sam. You’re obviously more flexible than I am at this point although I’ve been known to bend it like Beckham. Nowadays I like to splay out, arms and legs akimbo for maximum air movement. Anyway you look at it, a nap’s a good thing. Cole at not afraid of color
He’s more flexible than I am too and I do yoga! Whenever he naps like that, I just whince thinking how uncomfortable it looks.
Long ago I gave up on understanding why my two like to nap like contortionists.
I often wonder how my girls, particularly Callie, can be comfortable sleeping in some of their positions! Sam looks like he was trying to bite himself and fell asleep instead. 🙂
With that knucklehead, who knows?! Just looking at him made my neck ache. 😉
that’s probably doga :o) I mostly nap on my back… while all things hang around :o)
Doga…yes, that’s it!
