Greetings, uprights. Sam here. š¶Hi-ho, hi-hošµĀ itās off to work I go for the next couple of days. Ā Weāve had some pretty good weather (as long as you donāt count the hail storm that shredded leaves everywhere) but now the temps are going up-up-up. By Thursday, it should be about 101 so it will be nice being inside in air-conditioned conditions spreading my tail-wagging wellness with patients.
Hereās hoping you have a great week. Weāll try to stay caught up with you in between our shifts. But now, like a certain group of little dwarves, itās off to work I go. Hmm, why canāt I whistle?

Live, love, bark! š¾
Ā
Awesome photo, have fun at work.
You would brighten anyoneās day but especially folks in the hospital. ā„ Thank you for volunteering.
Youāre too kind. We love bringing smiles to peeps, be they patients or staff.
Sam, that does sound like a pawfect work situation & you look pawfectly ready.
HuMomās whistle is wooftastic but I can muster up a mean whistle yawn ššš¾
Nose nudges,
CEO Olivia
I am enjyoing the last week of cool weather. By the end of next week, the intense heat will have made its way hereā¦not looking forward.
Itās in the triple digits today with single digit humidity. Think walking into a pizza oven. š²
They are so lucky to have you, Sam!!
Aww shucks, Jodi. Iām blushing.
Your fur-iend,
Samš¾
Have a good week! Iām glad youāre feeling better, Sam! Hope Mom is too!
Hereās hoping you have a super week. After our visit today Sam will swing by the vets to get checked out. Still not close to being over his colitis episode. Poor baby.š¤¢And yet he gives everyone the best therapy. Heās amazing.
Bless his sweet, puppy-dog heart. ā¤ļø Is poor Sam feeling better today?
Heās still under the weather, I took him to the vet yesterday. Waiting for the Metronidazole to fully kick in.
Poor baby! Give him hugs and kisses for me.
Delivered with returned grateful tail wags.
ā¤ļø
You have a very important job and you do it so well. Glad you can enjoy the air conditioning
hugs
Hazel & Mabel
Donāt work too hard, and have some fun. The heat is back here too and they say it is only going to get hotter and hotter all week!!! Where is our snow???
Woos ā Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Snow? What is that?! We sure didnāt get any over the winter. š
We bet you are making the day of every single person you meet, Sam ā patient, employee, or visitor.
We sure hope they feel better. Itās always a good feeling making someone smile. Even for just a moment.
Nice hat, Sam! Enjoy the time off, stay cool, and make sure Mom gives you plenty of liquid refreshments of your choosing.
Thanks, Iām just a healer at heart. On a day like today (itās 97 currently), cold water is the beverage of choice!
But Mom says you also enjoy beer!
Who doesnāt? LOL
That a way!
Your volunteer scarf is super, Sam. Hereās to a great week of ātherapizing.ā
Thanks. You should see my official badge and business cards. They probably donāt know my momās name but they give us dogs business cards!
Your fur-iend,
Samš¾
Oh, wow. I had to get Lexiās business cards myself. The kids loved getting them, and so did a lot of the grown ups.
I love it when especially when those ābig kidsā ask for a card saying they want one to add to their collection. Cracks me up. If it makes them happy and thereby heal sooner, Iāll all too happy to provide an adult with one. š
Thanks for all the good work you doā¦maybe you could hum instead of whistle?? š
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
You know, that would be a pretty cool trick too!
Youāll spread cheer wherever you go. Have some great shifts bringing happiness.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your peeps. ā„
Thanks. So far weāve visited some pawsome peeps!
We love your cap and all the good work you do.
Sam, you make everybody feel better, even without whistling. I would love to touch your soft ears, put my cheek to it, so healing ears.
Kosmo
He does have the softest fur Iāve ever seen in a poodle. And with his coloring, heās like a big floofy dandelion. And I know heād love to met you, Kosmo!
good boy! 101 is too damn hot! While you work, Iāll be frying eggs on the sidewalk
Eggs? Iāll be right there to snoopervise. š³
Have a fantastic week, Sam. Tell me, though, when are you going to start training your lovely sister to go with you?
It would be nice having a hospital budding but momās not sure about Elsa. Sheās still a little too nervous around sudden noises.
Hail storm? We birds call that a flak attack. Dangerous.
Handsome chap!
Aww, thanks for the kind words. We mustnāt say it too loud though, heāll get an inflated image of himself. š
That modest, humble chapā¦yesā¦you could be right!
š
Happy cheering up the patients.
Thanks, we hope to make peeps smile.
š
Sam what a cutie you are!!!! Hoping you and your Mom stay cool (at least part of your scorching temps are headed our way starting Thursday š we are going to be 97 on Saturdayā¦.UGH!!) Thank you for all of the good that you do for so many! We love you!
Many thanks, Dakota & Cody. We think summer is more than here now. š
Have a great week at work!
Weāll give it the ole poodle shot!
Go spread your love Sam. Itās been hot here at The Golden K too. High nineties and fire season has started early this year. Please send some of your positive vibes to NorCal fire fighters.
We are sending oodles of poodles best vibes to fire fighters everywhere. The fires are really bad here too. Itās so dry and now a new heat wave starts. Ugh.
You do such a wonderful work, Sam. Way to go!
Many thanks. I try to bring everyone a little joy.
I think you bring more than just a little joy!
Aww, shucks. Thank you!
Wishing you a great time bringing smiles to many! <3
have a super week Sam⦠and I bet you will become da best worker of da month⦠or da year⦠or wait⦠of da century ;O)
Why thatās very nice of you to say. Mom says I shouldnāt let your nice comment go to my head though. š
Such great work you do, Sam. Enjoy those air conditioned conditions. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures. Too bad about not being able to whistle. š
Thanks. Yes, Iām very bummed about not it. Is that normal that a dog canāt whistle?
I donāt know. Perhaps you could try. In the famous words of Lauren Bacall, āYou know how to whistle, donāt you, Steve (or Sam)? You just put your lips together and⦠blow.ā
Hmm, Iāll give it a try. Now wouldnāt that be a good trick to show patients? š
It sure would. They would be very impressed!
