Monday Musings ~ July 12, 2021

The Ranch’s ‘great invention’ is headed off to hospital for the next couple of days so we’ll no doubt be late reading your posts. We hope you smile as much as the nurses and patients will that we’re going to visit this week. Happy Monday, peeps!

    1. We’re guessing you’re used to going up and down, back and forth. 🦜

    1. He did really well and handled the crowds better than I did. My ‘people’ skills sure diminished over the past year but with Norman by my side, I hope to regain some of those unused skills over the next few months. 🤞🏼

    1. He sure drew a crowd wherever we went. As he gets better with managing that aspect, I suspect he’ll be a rock star.

    1. We had loads of fun…and I didn’t have to try to lift Norman’s fat bum up a flight of stairs this go-round. LOL Seems he figured it out all by his self. Next on the list…the dreaded elevator. Cue the dramatic music.

  1. OMD, this was Ma’s FAVORITE comics!!! She misses it so much! Of course, you knows her bias towards OES’s, so it’s no surprise, butts it was just a FABulous and funny comic! That and Opus…miss that one too…sigh. Anyhu, Good Luck Norman!!! I knows you’ll make lots of peeps smile with your OES pawsonality!!! 😘
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

    1. Seems like this was a favorite of a whole lotta peeps, Ruby. Your mum has great taste. Norman did pretty well yesterday; still pretty overwhelmed with the slick floors and elevators but he did real well on the stairs. Yay!

    1. A charming yet honest to gosh humorous way to look at life. He did well though still a tad overwhelmed with all the attention, slippery floors and elevator. He seems to have conquered the stairs nicely. Thanks goodness…I’m not physically able to lift his big bum up 30 stairs! 😆

    1. They went pretty well, all things considered. We hope today is even better.

    1. Challenge has been well accepted though there’s always room for improvement. 😉

  2. Right now hubby, the 2 hooligans, and I are enjoying sunshine, a lovely breeze, comfortable temps, and shade in our own back yard. Later I have to brown the turkey for Ducky’s meals this week.

    1. Sounds like a great Monday in our books. Here’s hoping the rest of the week is equally enjoyable.

    1. Ha! As if it rains very often in this mountain desert. Norman’s official attire is strictly restricted to the purple bandana, but even though I’ve ‘slightly’ biased, he wears it well and always managed to draw a crowd. 😍 This dog is a complete people magnet!

    1. Many thanks, Diane. Norman did well yesterday and hopefully today will do even better. Those slippery floors and the elevator have flummoxed him but he’s pretty much mastered the stairs. Woot!

  3. They are indeed and they get blamed a lot for the stuff humans do. Pups rock.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to Norman and a hug to mom. ♥

    1. Thanks, Sandee. Norman rocked yesterday and hopefully will do so again today. 🤞🏼 We’ve got our paws crossed.

    1. Thanks BellaDharma and LadyMew. Yesterday was a good day and we’re hoping for another good one today.

    1. Smiles and several crowds! Norman is already becoming a real crowd pleaser. 💙

    1. Thanks, we’re doing our best. Yesterday was a good one and hopefully today will be better. Norman is starting to get the hang of things, now if he’d just not freak out as much in the elevators. 😇 He almost turns into “Flat Stanley” but Sam used to do the same but became a real seasoned pro in no time.

        1. He’s a clever boy and by the end of our shift, he handled the elevator much better. Onward and upward, right?

    1. Thanks Teddy and sweet mum. Yesterday was a good day and hopefully today will be even better.

    1. It’s was a feel good cartoon about ordinary life that everyone could appreciate. Happy Monday.
