~ Tails Around the Ranch

It’s Friday…yippee! So looking forward to the weekend, how about you? We’ve been hard at work reorganizing the garage in anticipation of Wayne’s California belongings arriving on Monday. Building shelves, organizing more efficiently and condensing my stuff so that we can fit our belongings together has been an ongoing endeavor since we came back. Combining households is no easy venture…there’s only so much room you have to deal with and (sadly) we all tend to fill our space. When you add more possessions in the same amount of square footage, something has got to go. So I’ve been diligently purging clothes, bedding, extra kitchen utensils and other stuff like crazy. Why oh why did I hang on them in the first place is beyond explanation. 🙂

As you can see, Sam continues to ‘snoopervise‘ our hard work rotten lazy dog. Maybe he’s resting up in anticipation of next week’s hospital visits.

  2. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. I love the music of the '60s and '70s since I was growing up in those decades. I love the Beatles and Andy Williams equally.

  4. I remember when my husband and I merged possessions and suddenly we had two of so many things, it was insane. The one and only garage sale ever in my life took place right about that time.

      having only done one garage sale which was not too successful and far more work than the return, I plan to donate 99% of the extraneous stuff and ditch the rest. It feels good to purge and going through boxes has been a lot like Christmas morning seeing things I hadn’t in many years. 😉

  7. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.

    I get Sam’s point – cleaning out can be a big, tough, exhausting job. Unless you’re like my mom. She is a compulsive cleaner-outer. Some people believe you should toss things you haven’t used in a year. Mom will toss things she hasn’t used in an hour!! Sheesh!
