Happy Monday, peeps. We figured it’s time for some Halloween humor since it’s coming up. But rest assured, we pledge to NOT share any of the garrish inflatables that seem to have taken over the ‘Hood. I just can’t. Besides, they aren’t that funny.

I started blogging in August 2005 on Yahoo 360 with Mingflower my Bluepoint Siamese. Then transferred to Multiply...Mingflower went to Summerland & NYLABLUE my BluePoint Siamese/Burmese cross took over. When Multiply was closing a handful of our blogging friends recommended WordPress & we found a home here & made many new friends. Everyone followed the antics & struggles of NYLABLUE until her passing Nov. 22nd, 2014 to Summerland. A week later a little bouncing Burmese boy I met at a local adoption event joined me here! Dec. 9th, 2014. Purrince Siddhartha Henry came to live with me & regaled us with his journey towards 'Enlightenment'. He was a Burmese Buddhist with many health issues but he searched for meaning in his Life. After his lifelong struggle with Panleukopenia. Siddhartha Henry lost his battle & left for Pure Land August 28th, 2018. He was only 4 years & 1 month old. I've never totally gotten over the loss of my "Little Man". And this is where I get VERY serious. This Purrfect Pad blog is not all sunshine & roses. This blog is about REAL life with special needs cats who come into my life. We share our time together & we share the good, the bad & the ugly. This is a REAL blog. Yes we DO laugh & have fun & take Selfies! And we share each cat's struggles whether health issues or behavioural problems. And we share about my ongoing battle with 3 health conditions that can render me unable to walk plus having Cirrhosis of Liver & Seizures. We ask our friends & followers to respect that THE Purrfect Pad is anything but 'purrfect'. I am disabled & each of my cats' have had special needs. Everyone is welcome here as long as you are kind & respectful. If you have questions feel free to ask them. Sept. 6th, 2018 BellaDharma aka Baby Girl joined THE Purrfect Pad.   13. LOL! That is a funny one alright! On a main street I drive most days, there is a yard with a group of skeletons – all people sized, 2 adults and one child. Every week the folks there change up what the skeletons are wearing and doing. One week they were construction workers, another, fire fighters, and this week they are at the beach. It’s fun to look at.

  14. John W. Howell – South Texas Gulf Coast – I have been working in business for over forty years and now have the time to work in special areas of interest. My passion has always been to create compelling stories of fiction. I have authored six novels and am working on my Seventh. The first novel is still in manuscript form and being utilized as a door stop in the laundry room. The second is a contemporary fiction novel of 89,000 words and is complete and I am currently seeking a publisher. I also write poetry but have not had the guts to share any with anyone. The one time I read a piece to a person their only comment was, “it doesn’t rhyme.” I will continue to write and hopefully my blog, Fiction Favorites at www.johnwhowell.com will provide some entertainment and an interesting thought or two.   15. Nothing says Halloween like a few witches mixing up something spooky! And high tech cookware too. Reminds me of my mom when I was little – the hand mixer not my mom 😅- when she baked she’d let me lick the blades. I’ve never been a fan of Halloween, even as a kid, but still a fan of licking the blades. 😎. I hope some of our wet NorCal weather made it your way. We’re back in the 70’s for most of the week.       Licking the blades was a rite (and right) of passage as a kid. 😉 All we have in Denver is lots of wind. I’ve cleaned my covered porch multiple times the past few days and today I just picked up some dead branches. 50’s today but feels like upper 40’s with the windchill. Happy Monday!
