Well…so much for the winter storm alert (note the pitiful, teensy weeny skiff of snow on the ‘shroom). Apparently the storm veered south of us. There was bupkus snow on the ‘shroom when we passed by it again over the weekend. I originally thought someone had maybe hauled it off but then realized I was looking in the wrong block. Sam wasn’t all that impressed with its size or the lack of snow. Maybe he’s just bummed there was no snow for him to romp in. But then again, I reminded him that he’d have had to wear his snow boots and he assured me that would not be the best way for him to start the week off.

Wouldn’t it be grand to have a job where you could be wrong nearly 100% most of the time and still get paid oodles of dough? Don’t know about you, but I think I’d like THAT job!
What kind of fun was on your weekend radar?
Live, love, bark! ❤︎
We had a thunderstorm about an hour ago. Poor Shadow was nervous about it. I was going to go to the kitchen for one of their chill pills, but she clung to my leg so I couldn’t move. So I just got down on the floor with her and loved on her til the storm was over. Now she’s fast asleep and I’m still wide awake. 🙄
So sorry your pups are upset by the storm energy. Hopefully things will calm down and you can have a decent night’s sleep. 🙂
I often say the same thing – about the weather men always being wrong. But, I know they have a hard job, especially in my area. The weather will often veer around the mountains unexpectedly. I think they err on the “bad” side because if they err the other way people would really be upset.
I’ll admit the shifting Gulf Stream can mess forecasts up but you’d think with all the doppler radar gadgets and computer models they tout, they would do a better job. Let’s hope the weather improves for the rest of the week. 🙂
They are calling for severe storms here this afternoon. Letting schools out an hour early to avoid going home in it, assuming the forecasters are correct today. Some days, you hope they are wrong.
Most definitely! Good luck.
Don’t tell Sam about the 6 inches of snow we got on Saturday. The crew had a lot of fun romping through that. (I wasn’t that impressed but at least they were happy).
We got nearly 5″ this morning (should be gone by tomorrow). The two knuckleheads bounced and zoomed around. Ok, Elsa bounced and zoomed. Sam watched her and kept looking at me like I needed to save him. LOL
We have thunderstorms in our neck of the woods right now. This will be on and off until Wednesday. Hope the forecasters will be wrong there but it seems that they are pretty accurate most of the time for this region.
We think our BFTB NETWoof Weather Lab Paisley does better at forecasting the weather than our locals do! BOL!
I think so too! Plus she’s much cuter. 😊
It was pitiful here too. I know a meteorologist up here, and he says that the models have been getting it wrong every time. For the storm due tonight, the meteorologists are all cutting the model predictions in half to avoid such humiliation again! We really need a big storm!
Amen, to that! Fingers and paws crossed. I think I’m going with the Farmer’s Almanac for my forecasts-they seem to know what they’re doing. 😇
I wish I could have a job like that, be wrong so much.
I know what you mean! Shaking my head at the mere thought. 😶
Now that’s no way to talk about our Pr… Oh, you meant weather forecasters!
Maybe both? 😉
Actually, I have a fair amount of respect and sympathy for weather forecasters. They are right more often than, say, economists, and yet we let economists off the hook. It’s just a crazy time of year, weather-wise.
You’re too kind, Amy. But I agree with you on the economics peeps. The weather is extra weird this year. 🙃

yep I do would like that job!
Sam doesn’t seem impressed by the mushroom! We are surprised to see it still in one piece!
Have a good day 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
He really wasn’t. I think he had reading some pee-mails on his mind 😇 Happy Monday
We celebrated the 5th birthday of one of our fur babies! Celebrate = a few extra favorite treats for both of them.
Happy purr day!
Meow!
It finally got sunny yesterday and we took a walk around historic Annapolis even doing a new to us historic tour! Sam, come see us and walkabout. No snow but lots to sniff. Auntie Leela
How fun to take a new tour in a historic area! The two poodles have been in olfactory nirvana with even Elsa getting in to it big time yesterday evening. ❤︎
We’re south of you and didn’t get a flake.
Now that is a big shroom my friend. Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
It rained a bit again last night, I’m almost afraid to walk past it today! 😉
