Because yesterday was Labor Day, we didn’t post our usual Monday Musings. A few days ago, I saw this browsing the ‘Net so while today’s title may be somewhat misleading (I will have a post about pup treats soon), this is the treat I’m referring to…the annual (and some would say, far too overdone flavoring of everyday life) opportunity to wash down some good old-fashioned Pumpkin Spice latte at your favorite Starbucks. You do have to admit though, the “Pugkin” spice is pretty adorable.
Are you a fan of the ubiquitous flavor, be it from Starbucks or some other coffee shop or do you limit it to candles? I used to be a big fan, but it’s just too sweet for me anymore, so now I just like to scent candles with this seasonal autumn scent.
Live, love, bark! ❤︎

Ugh. So. Much. Pumpkin. Spice.
Agreed – too sweet particularly from Starbucks
No Starbucks for me. I like my coffee strong and black and in the comfort of my morning jammies. But I do love that Pugkin Spice!
Nothing like good strong coffee in the morning. Cheers ☕️
I am catching up on the Sunday Selfies REALLY LATE (you know we are late because we have been running an auction for Austin Pets Alive). Its good to see you in the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.
Marjorie and the Dash Kitten Crew
Thank you and thanks for swinging by the Ranch. Keep up the good work in Austin. 😍
I like the occasional pumpkin spice latte, but for the most part I like my coffee black. But pumpkin spice muffins? Irresistible!
Oh yum. Most definitely. I’m a big fan of pumpkin bread too.
No Starbucks here and besides my coffee is hot, no milk and two sweetners – how boring is that??
Mom is a yes on Pumpkin Spice, but waits (impatiently) for Gingerbread season. That’s her true favorite flavor – bar none.
Love and licks,
Oooh, I forgot about gingerbread. Another yummy flavored coffee. Your mom has good taste, Cupcake.
Mom tried pumpkin spice creamer once and did not like it although she loves pumpkin pie.
Hazel & Mabel
That creamer is pretty awful. Something’s just shouldn’t be made with PS flavoring.
I love pumpkin spice and you are going to crack up when you see what the bayou Boys are reviewing along those lines. Haha!
That pugkin spice latte is adorable!! My humom loves that pumpkin spice latte but she has to ask for it half sweet because otherwise it is much too sweet!
Me too. And they can’t figure out why I pass on the whipped cream.
My humom skips the whip too but doesn’t she realize I can lick it off for her???
Not big on pumpkin spice coffee drinks..way too sweet or me, but Tazo has a great Pumpkin Spice Chai tea bag that comes out this time of year!
Too cute! Coincidentally, I am reading this while sipping on an iced pumpkin spice latte from SB! (Seriously)! And, I just stocked up on pumpkin spice cereal, breakfast bars, hot cocoa, baby food, coffee creamer & pure pumpkin purée from Target, so a perfectly timed read here! Yep, my daughter and I are PS addicts!
OOOH, haven’t had it iced. Yet. LOL Yup, sounds like you are adequately prepared for Pumpkin Spice season.
I like pumpkin occasionally – but I’m not a fan of coffee. This “pug-kin” spice variety though? Yes, please!
Pretty tail wagging cute, especially when you don’t like coffee. 😉
Funny shot. I also like the internet photo of the two guys with fishing poles using pumpkin spice lattes to “hook” coeds on campus. As for moi, never had one and probably never will. Nothing against the frou frou drinks but I’m just a plain old black coffee guy. Boring.
Your discriminating taste buds probably lean toward malted beverages I suspect.
You suspect rightly.
Yeah, who wants to bother with plain old coffee calories, right? 🍻
Believe it or not, our human mommy hasn’t ever had the pumpkin-flavored Starbuck’s treat. (She says she’s deprived. Right. 😉 ) But she is a sucker for pumpkin- and spice-scented everything and anything. Pretty sure Tallulah and I will be perfumed by pumpkin before it’s all over.
There are worse scents, Miss Lee. Trust me. BOL
Pumpkin for soup, yes…otherwise, no.
I`ve never used a Starbucks…the prices!
You haven’t missed much, Helen. Pumpkin soup and NOW you’re talking!
I make pumpkin cookies – but a few years ago, I decided they had to wait for baking until at least October. I need to finish out the warm, summer-ish weather before I get to the pumpkin!
It seems like the pumpkin flavored stuff arrives sooner and sooner. Before you know it, it’ll be a Valentine staple! LOL
Ha! We’ll be living in a world with pumpkin and Christmas throughout the year!
Pretty much. Not that I’m cynical mind you.
I like my pumpkin in baked goods, not in coffee. Chocolate, however, is great to add to coffee.
OOOH yeesss….a good mocha on a chilly morning. Heaven.
I’ve never had Starbucks. You don’t want to deal with a parrot that’s had too much caffeine.
Sunflower seeds are the Starbucks for parrots. 🙂
I am a HUGE fan of pumpkin but I am NOT a huge fan of Starbucks. 🙂 I will take pumpkin ice cream any day !
The coffee is pretty much crap and 99.9% of the baristas are stuck up snots. I think it’s it the atmosphere is what they are really selling.
I see no purpose to a pumpkin other than to make awesome carvings out of every Halloween. I’m sure in some way they can be made into things that are edible (or potable), but not by my taste buds!
My favorite coffee is my coffee, haha! #FrenchPress #itonlytakes5minutes
And tastes soooo good.
Ah, are you a French Press person too? Hail to the press! XD
Have one that I use on occasion. Makes such great coffee, too.
I drank coffee for many years. One day I was having an exotic drink at Starbucks with friends and I realized that I had never really liked the taste of coffee. It’s been tea from then on. Our little town has 5 Starbucks!
We used to have nearly one Starbucks on every corner in downtown Denver and while I’m not a huge fan, I confess I visited the one in my office building often, but mostly as a way to get away for a few minutes with colleagues. Now there are twice as many MJ shops as Starbucks. Some call this progress, I think it’s more insanity. ☕️
That Pugkin Spice latte is adorable. I don’t do either – no latte’s, no candles. I’m allergic to most scented candles, so I never burn them. I do love the smell of a pumpkin pie baking in the oven, though.
Nothing like the scent of a baking pumpkin pie to fill the heart with anchored memories of family get-togethers. Add a dollop of whipped cream and you’re talking about pure nirvana.
I admit I am not a coffee drinker so I have never had this. I stick to tea – served black.
Good for you. Although I’ve seen pumpkin spice flavored tea too. It’s EVERYWHERE. *Sigh*
Too cute!! Yes, I am a fan! 🙂 Have to get myself some today perhaps! I do love the candles though as well!
I have to admit that I never was at starbucks… the next one is too far away… but if we see one once I will give it a try… and I probably will order the most exotic thing they offer ;o)
Haven’t had one in Europe, stateside it’s not worth the expense. I think they work on selling atmosphere more than good coffee.
