Did you survive the Thanksgiving Day howliday food coma? Did you watch the Macy’s Day Parade or the National Dog Show or catch a few football games if you’re into that sort of thing? With Christmas now a mere 28 days away, we can now move on to the next season…the non-stop wearing of stretch-waistband leggings that is. #ThankGoodnessForElastic
Live, love, bark! ❤

We had a nice, quiet Turkey Day. Just hubby. Shadow, Ducky, and me. It was WONDERFUL! No traveling, no runs to the 7-11 for emergency grocery shopping, just football games, movies, and playtime in the yard.
Food, family and football…does it get much better on Thanksgiving? 😍
Be more dog & eat all you want.
If exercise is the answer, chase your tail to your favourite howl’n song & call it a day😉💜
I feel like I chase my tail already with these two knuckleheads. 🤣
Stretch pants are life!
This month they will certainly be life-saving!
Did you say 28 days? Wait, no, today would make it 27. Not a single gift purchased.
Welome to my world. 🌎
That definitely looked like me after dinner on Thanksgiving!
Thank goodness for elastic. ☺️
I used to have two coons that would sit like that! Makes me crack up.
They are so comical when they do stuff like that.
OMD!!!! Did you see the dog show??! The OES made the finals!!!! Ma was all a goo-goo! I don’t understand, cause I was all bummed that the Airedale didn’t win AGAIN! AGAIN!!! when are we gonna gets some respect, I ask?! Anyhu, Ma was all whispering, “come on OES, come on OES….” butts, she just knew it wasn’t gonna happen, cause ‘her dogs’ never win! sigh.
Okays, so Ma is a little miffed…butts, she was happy the Griffon won! They are adorables, and the winner had such terrierTude!
Anyhu, Ma tried to wear her leggings at Thanksgiving, butts she forgots they were the ‘workout’ ones, so the waist was a little too tight after dinner…☺
Rats, unfortunately it was too chaotic and only was able to watch about 3 minutes with no volume. 😢 I would have loved to especially when there are breeds we don’t often get to see in the finals. Judges just don’t appreciate some of the more fun breeds like Airedales and Sheepies. *Sigh* Still, you’re always Best in Show with us!🏆
Love those raccoons!
Aren’t they hilarious?
Those raccoons clearly indulged a little too much! ;p
Our Mama wears leggings all the time . .. far more comfortable than jeans . . . especially when she is extra hungry! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
I may have to rethink the whole jean thing this season. Good planning on your mama’s part. 😊
Wearing my yoga pants right now hehehe
And don’t they feel good?! 😄
Oh yes 🙂
We watched some of the parade and for the first time in years mom watched the dog show. Mr Bailey always barked at dogs on TV and made it hard to watch
Hazel & Mabel
Nice that you guys were able to watch…we were busy and only saw a couple minutes of it. ☹️ Would have loved to have seen it.
I really loved that I could stream the Macy’s parade and dog show. It made it feel a little more like Thanksgiving even though we were far from family and could only fit two chicken thighs in our oven for dinner. 🙂
We love the howlidays–lots of food for us! YUM Luckily no one judges dogs if they are chunky 😛 Hope you all had a great holiday!
Yup, I noticed the 4-legged ‘Hoovers’ have been working overtime. BOL 😆
OMD those are some fat raccoons!! Looks like they were able to find some thanksgiving scraps! BOL!
😆They were definitely enjoying the high life, I think!
I did eat way to much. Watched just a little of the dog show. I’ve decided my favorite breed is the Bernese Mountain Dog. Shhh. Don’t tell Tippy or Sam!
LOL They are pretty cool dogs.
In addition to all the holiday over-eating, we’ve got a week of vaca in Dec so it’s going to seriously be elastic-waistbands-all-the-time! Going to have to try to workout a good bit while we’re on vaca!!
Fingers and paws crossed for you (and me!) 😄
December is ‘Celebrate Lycra’ month around here.
Bwahaha! What did we do before Lycra?
Yup, I stuffed myself. I’m having pizza tonight to atone.
That’s the spirit!
We didn’t eat too much but our mom sure did!
Murphy & Stanley
Also known as the “I should have started Christmas shopping earlier” season!
I am not even American (we are Canadian) and I still made a toned down turkey dinner (meaning I bought a stuffed turkey breast) complete with a ton of veggies and topped off with homemade pumpkin pie…food coma lingers on well into Monday !!! hahaha
Turkey is the one meal I miss as a vegetarian. Soooo tasty but between eating too much and the built in tryptophan making you sluggish…it’s quite the meal. 😇
I watched the dog show, but that was it. It was a big meal and family game night. Can’t believe how hot it is!
Sounds like a great way to spend the holiday. I know, Denver set a record yesterday at 74 and it’ll be warmer today. We need snow so badly, I had to water and work in the garden. Who’d have thought that’d happen in late November?! Have a great week.
we sadly couldn’t see the show but concats to the brussels griffon… well done Newton.
Only saw a one short snippet at the end of the non-sporting class and did not see the Brussels Griffon. Our group was a bit too noisy to watch much of anything but it was a nice get-together nonetheless. Have a terrific week!
Oh no you don’t. I sent the last of the sweets home with my older son yesterday and I am back on the wagon!! Yep, really.
Gold star for you! 🌟 Had a nice yoga session yesterday afternoon myself and felt so much better from when I penned this post. Must do it again today to help remove the lactic acid build up. 😆 Ouch.
Just text if you need someone to say NO!
😍 Working on the detox so hopefully it won’t come to texting!
Oh yes… love spandex. It’s God’s gift to women. That photo is hilarious. And I’m gonna do something about this fat just as soon as I finish having my melt down about the move. Yep. But I’ll hold on to the elastic waist band pants, just in case. LeeAnna
Smart plan. I started back on the yoga train over the weekend, it felt good to hear the snap crackle pop. 😄 You’re in the final stretch on the move. Hang in there!
