Our temperatures are gonna be back in the 90’s this week so the thought of turning on the oven is not very appealing. Sadly the heat doesn’t diminish the sweet tooth so I decided to “not-bake” some tasty snacks to start out the week with a smile. Coconut and cocoa are a match made in cookie heaven.
Cocoa-Nut Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies
1/2 cup. coconut oil
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
6 TBS dark cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. sea salt
1-1/2 cup coconut flakes
1-1/2 cup whole rolled oats
Combine coconut oil, peanut butter, honey, cocoa powder, vanilla and sea salt; beat until well combined and smooth. Add coconut and oats and beat until well incorporated and mixture becomes a loose dough. Using a tablespoon or small scoop, drop on wax paper or parchment. Chill for 30 minutes in freezer or 1 hour in frig. Serve cold. Makes 20-25 depending on size. Enjoy!

And don’t forget to swing by the now open e-shop (Sam’s K9 Kreations). More items are being added all the time so check back often.

Oh, this sounds so great, or yummy as Benji would say (I know he can’t have those so we keep the recipe between us)! I would have to try without the oats as I can’t eat those. What would you suggest to put in it instead? BTW I’m writing this via my pc. For some reason in the reader feed it shows up shortened and then I have to click on a link that takes me to https://tailsaroundtheranch.blog/ for the full story. I don’t have to do that with other people’s blogs.
Hmm, many extra coconut?
Coconut flour maybe, have to experiment with it.
That might work. Or flaxseed?
Hmmmm, I could try that too!
Then there’s always chia or hemp seeds. Just some more thoughts. 😇
Ah, I like that even better. Or a combination of all the above 🙂
Ugh. I know it’s not supposed to truncate posts. Thanks for providing the clue. Maybe they can shed some light on it.
Those are easy and sound nummy!
They definitely hit the spot.
Yummmmm! Those could be dangerous and not so good for my arse if the rest of the household doesn’t eat them… though they just might.
😊 They are a nice treat to enjoy at times and really hit the spot for me.
If there was any way to take the coconut outta those, Ma would be all in! (she doesn’t likes coconut…I KNOWS! I thinks there’s something wrong with that woman!!!)
I thinks they look mighty tasty….too bad Ma says I can’t have any. pffffft!
It is too bad for both of you guys since these are pretty tasty snacks.
Those look amazing and will have to be the next treat I take to school. Thank you for sharing!
You’ll definitely get an A with these treats.
Oh! I used to make these with a friend of mine when we were in high school all the time. I’ve been wanting to bake, but either not enough time or too much heat has put it off. What a great idea!
HuMom asked me to take a snapshot of your pawsome receipe 😉
Thank you 🐾
Stay cool my furiends🐾
💜nose nudges 💜
I think she’ll like it, Olivia.
Mom says YUMMERS!!! We need her to make that for herself and some pb treats for us!!!

rut roh, hope my comment got through!
It absolutely did. I’ve been having WP issues that we can’t seem to diagnose. Seems to be some sort of lag between posting, approval and showing up. So sorry.
I’ve had similar, and now I’m drooling too. But I’m off anything sugar-y and have lost the weight again, so I just have to keep reminding myself what happens when…. Enjoy!
Yum!! I hate to bake so these are right up my alley (and my oven is broken and I can’t get it fixed til the end of September ugh……..). I also ADORE coconut, chocolate and peanut butter! I just pinned these! Thank you for sharing!!
My husband would be fighting the dogs for them, I suspect…
Good thing they’re only for us uprights so sharing with the 4-legged sect isn’t necessary. 😉
According to the thugs, sharing is obligatory…..
That seems pretty aggressive…for critters who have no thumbs.
They attack en masse….appealing eyes, the insistent paw and, if all else fails, the leap onto the lap…
Peanut butter and chocolate–we call this a health food.
I do too!
Sounds great to me…peanut butter, cocoa, and coconut. How could you go wrong? Hope your temperatures moderate soon. It’s been unusually hot here too!
Best combo of ingredients I know of! Yeah, I’m soooo over this whole summer thing (mostly because we’ve had almost next to nothing in the way of rain).
At least we have had some rain. Got a couple of storms come through last night.
These aren’t DOG treats though with the dark cocoa powder in them. How about carob powder? Anyway, I need to leave out the peanut butter…I like peanut butter, and I love chocolate, but I don’t like them together…wondering how to adjust remaining ingredients.
No, those are upright treats. I needed something sweet but not too guilty after last week. I don’t know why carob powder wouldn’t work. These treats aren’t super peanut-buttery tasting.
candy! my fave flavors! Add in some cherry and it would be heaven.
The coconut makes these treats incredibly tasty.
Those look yummy! But alas, your brother has us on a diet😂
You shouldn’t be penalized for his extra calories.
Yum … I could find a place for them in my upcoming breakfast.
And they’d be a nice change of pace. Not too sweet, but oh-so tasty.
I drooled over my keyboard… either I become a dog or this is way toooo tasty!!!
These are very tasty and super quick and easy to make!
