own a dog are owned by a dog, you probably have this same conversation on a regular basis. These guys seem to think they’re some kind of legal dream team.
Wishing you a week of successful negotiating.

That looks very comfy guys!
They’re nothing if not about comfort. 😆
No worries here – he has his “day bed” and he has his “Night Bed” although, having said that, they are interchangeable as the spirit moves him. :o)
The Ranch crew can make just about any spot a bed. Last count, there are actually 7 ‘official’ beds around the Ranch. and yet as I glance over to them now, they’re both laying on the area carpet. LOL
The trio of terror think it is great fun to steal the humans’ spots.
Hey there; hope the trio and you are all doing well. On or off the sofa. 😍
I don’t think you stand a chance against those two!! 🙂
Even as competitive as I am, I don’t mind losing to these Knuckleheads.
Conversation??? there IS NO conversation! If I wants it…it’s MINE! end of story. have you ever tried moving a 60lb terrierist from their comfy seat??? hehehehe
I have actually. Two of them in fact. I lose every. single. time. 🤣
We have that same conversation about the bed ha ha
Xena will do let me roll her around the bed by lifting covers she is laying on before moving because I asked her to.
Consider yourself lucky. You can see the reaction of the Knuckleheads when the mere suggestion of moving is broached. 😊
What a beautiful photo of Sam and Elsa! Mom and I think they think right. 😂😂😂 Mom says everything in this house belongs to me and they must ask permission to use it. I think that is the way it is supposed to work and Sam and Elsa know that as well. 😅
The dogs have made it ‘pawfectly’ care that I am merely a squatter around the Ranch. And that’s cool by me. 🥰
😂😂😂 A squatter! Mom and I laughed so much I nearly fell off her lap. You are so funny! 😀
I don’t see a problem because they are perfectly comfy on their couch.
Indeed they always are, as I sit on the floor! 🤣
CATS are like that too!
do you know that Dakota is allowed on the sofa but has NEVER, EVER gone there on his own? I think when we got him at 8 months old that he probably wasn’t allowed on the sofa at his former home and it stuck with him!
Elsa has become rather comfortable on the sofa. I cannot bear the thought of denying her (or Sam in his old age) that small comfort. Even if I have to sit on the floor. 😊
We know you pawchase furniture for us😉🐾💜🐾
It seems they figured out that while they may have evolved from wolves, they realized real fast that we have comfy fur-niture.
We just hope they leave us a bit of room to watch television each evening LOL!
Jakey, Rosy & Arty
Haha…I sit on the floor while they are lounging on the sofa.
Hold your ground, Sam and Elsa. For some reason, none of us ever look to get on the sofas here, but maybe we need to revisit that idea:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It was my first (but clearly not the last) mistake I made when integrating Elsa into the pack…she said as she sat on the floor! 🤣
You do not have a leg to stand on Miss Monika! Or a sofa to sit on!!! Mew mew mew…..
Sam an Elsa just won THE legal argument…..mew mew mew….
Pretty much 😃
hahaha true true true, I love Sam’s stink eye, he will not be getting off the couch!
Nope, he will not. If anything he’ll act like he’s asleep, after of course, letting me know in no uncertain terms that he’s not going anywhere soon. 😂
Aw, you both are so cute. Yes you can stay on the couch as far as I’m concerned.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday. ♥
Permission is never given a thought around the ‘Ranch.’ 🤣
Shhhh don’t tell Milo this
Trust me, it’s in their DNA.
Whatever happened to Frankie and Ernie-the attorneys?
Maybe they meted out all the justice necessary in their judicial district?
We think there is a reason it is called fur-niture.
A-ha…now it all makes sense.
We have to share everything. Sofa, bed, you name it. It is second nature.
The notion of equality with poodles is: “if it’s yours, it really ‘belongs’ to us.”
That is the same with Boxers and French bulldogs
That probably applies to all dogs, if we’re honest.
Ray has a “What’s mine is mine. What’s yours is mine” philosophy.
I think all dogs do 😆
Sounds like it based on the Comments you have received.
Experience can be a cruel teacher at times. 😇
Yes, it does. 😀
Aren’t they funny little creatures? I do note there is a cover under them which begs the question – were they invited up there in the first place?
LOL! Happy Monday!
I am at their ‘benevolent’ mercy. Most of the time they are kinda stingy with the benevolence part. 😆
I am not surprised… Sam looks so like he’s lording it over you…
Little Lord Fauntleroy looks innocent enough but is stubbornly ruthless.
Doesn’t look all that innocent, in my opinion…
He’s not in the slightest and damn proud of it.
Now THAT comes across loud and clear.
Ya think? 🤣
Oh. I think alright!
Sam is bowing at the mere thought. Elsa on the other hand has the ‘whatevs’ look on her face.
She has a “whatevs” attitude that comes across.
P.S. The cover is because it’s a leather sofa. Hot in summer, cold in winter. 😉
So, in reality, it is actually for YOU but they have decided to take possession… Nice.
Yeah, who am I kidding…they channeled ‘we need a little cushion here,’ lady.
Why am I not surprised? 😉
Never try to play mind games with a poodle. They’ll take you for everything you’ve got!
They are a wily sort..
Wily barely covers it. 😊
A darling daring duo!
Darling but very shrewd. 🤣
They look like they mean business. This is going to be an intense negotiation, with plenty of bonus treats paid. Up front.
Trust me, they are ruthless negotiators. 🦴🦴🦴
I believe you. 🙂
Sam is the Harvey Specter of dogdom. #suits
I had to google. Buahahaha! Yep, make that many, many, many treats upfront. And that’s only the beginning!
It’s funnier if you’ve ever seen the series. But Google will give you the general idea. He’s still ruthless and always manages to win.
You’ve hit on it then. 😂
Yup – possession rules and, as Ray can stretch out to fill our 2-seater sofa very nicely, we are very familiar with the problem.
Sometimes they make me feel like some sort of annoying interloper.
Don’t tell me! I I reckon a couple of the thugs would make chess grandmasters too, by the way they anticipate my every move. A flick of the ear and I am doomed.
They can be incredible body language readers and move in for the kill quickly. Wish I knew how they did that!
it’s our sofa… a sofa is a fur-niture…so…. happy monday to ya!
Are you sure you guys aren’t legal beagles? No wonder I lose the battle.
