Monday Musings ~ July 15, 2019

If you own a dog are owned by a dog, you probably have this same conversation on a regular basis. These guys seem to think they’re some kind of legal dream team.

Sam & Elsa

Wishing you a week of successful negotiating.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. No worries here – he has his “day bed” and he has his “Night Bed” although, having said that, they are interchangeable as the spirit moves him. :o)

    1. The Ranch crew can make just about any spot a bed. Last count, there are actually 7 ‘official’ beds around the Ranch. and yet as I glance over to them now, they’re both laying on the area carpet. LOL

  2. Conversation??? there IS NO conversation! If I wants it…it’s MINE! end of story. have you ever tried moving a 60lb terrierist from their comfy seat??? hehehehe

    1. Consider yourself lucky. You can see the reaction of the Knuckleheads when the mere suggestion of moving is broached. 😊

  3. What a beautiful photo of Sam and Elsa! Mom and I think they think right. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Mom says everything in this house belongs to me and they must ask permission to use it. I think that is the way it is supposed to work and Sam and Elsa know that as well. πŸ˜…

    1. The dogs have made it ‘pawfectly’ care that I am merely a squatter around the Ranch. And that’s cool by me. πŸ₯°

  4. do you know that Dakota is allowed on the sofa but has NEVER, EVER gone there on his own? I think when we got him at 8 months old that he probably wasn’t allowed on the sofa at his former home and it stuck with him!

    1. Elsa has become rather comfortable on the sofa. I cannot bear the thought of denying her (or Sam in his old age) that small comfort. Even if I have to sit on the floor. 😊

    1. It seems they figured out that while they may have evolved from wolves, they realized real fast that we have comfy fur-niture.

  5. Hold your ground, Sam and Elsa. For some reason, none of us ever look to get on the sofas here, but maybe we need to revisit that idea:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    1. It was my first (but clearly not the last) mistake I made when integrating Elsa into the pack…she said as she sat on the floor! 🀣

    1. Nope, he will not. If anything he’ll act like he’s asleep, after of course, letting me know in no uncertain terms that he’s not going anywhere soon. πŸ˜‚

  6. Aw, you both are so cute. Yes you can stay on the couch as far as I’m concerned.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday. β™₯

    1. The notion of equality with poodles is: “if it’s yours, it really ‘belongs’ to us.”

  7. Aren’t they funny little creatures? I do note there is a cover under them which begs the question – were they invited up there in the first place?
    LOL! Happy Monday!

    1. I am at their ‘benevolent’ mercy. Most of the time they are kinda stingy with the benevolence part. πŸ˜†

                    1. Sam is bowing at the mere thought. Elsa on the other hand has the ‘whatevs’ look on her face.

    2. P.S. The cover is because it’s a leather sofa. Hot in summer, cold in winter. πŸ˜‰

        1. Yeah, who am I kidding…they channeled ‘we need a little cushion here,’ lady.

            1. Never try to play mind games with a poodle. They’ll take you for everything you’ve got!

            1. It’s funnier if you’ve ever seen the series. But Google will give you the general idea. He’s still ruthless and always manages to win.

  8. Don’t tell me! I I reckon a couple of the thugs would make chess grandmasters too, by the way they anticipate my every move. A flick of the ear and I am doomed.

    1. They can be incredible body language readers and move in for the kill quickly. Wish I knew how they did that!

Please bark any thoughts...but remember no growling.
