Yesterday was the first day of Spring and it was warm and sunny. Today the temperature is a nice 28c then we go back to winter for a bit but the sun and the warmth was nice. Although, I should doubt very much if nice is a word I will use much when the heat of summer hits us here in the Arid Lands. Not really looking forward to our turn in the blistering heat that is the new norm at the present.
Since it will be in triple digits today, I know exactly what you mean by Arid Lands. It’s been so long since I’ve seen rain, I’m not sure if I’ll remember what it feels like. Enjoy spring as long as you can.

BOL!! Loved the poppycorn! We’ve been spoiled so far this summer (knock on wood…), it hasn’t been too hot, butts this week is suppose to change. sigh. As long as the humidity stays away, Ma will be able to make it through….oh, that and the AC! BOL!!!

Yeah, it’s hot here too, but not as hot as Denver, temperature-wise. Now, add in the humidity and it gets pretty darn uncomfortable, but that’s what central air is for.
At least we don’t have the humidity. I’d be a goner 😂

Cooler weather is here! My thermometer read 66 in the early morning rather than 86 like it had been….
Outstanding! Mine read 59 on our early morning walk…it was paradise. It could stay that way until November as far as I’m concerned. Enjoy!
I measure our progression through the summer season by how much whining comes out of Colorado. Must be pretty near mid-summer. Of course, I measure progress through winter by the same benchmark. 😈
Guilty as charged. I should have been a meteorologist. I could have been paid well to deliver suspect forecasts while sharing editorial comments. Sounds like a dream job. 😆

That is too funny! We had an official heat wave – three days above 90 plus humidity. Now today it is raining and only 65 degrees! Consistency would at least be appreciated! 🙂

I went for a nice run this morning. The temps were much more agreeable and while the humidity is still kicking up its heels, the sun was playing keep away.
Bravo! This morning’s constitution was a crisp 59 degrees with early morning high humidity. It was ‘fur-bulous!’ Even if it won’t last. Clear blue skies and dew = totally worth it.
I want to love it, but I fear it might leave me!

I hate this kind of weather. We were 3+ hours north of the weekend where it is normally cooler and less humid – on ho – not this past weekend!!!!

It cooled off last night here. I thought I might pass out at the lavender festival. It was so hot I couldn’t shop! I went back to trim the longer leg hair from Milo so he’d be cooler and now his legs look really skinny!
It was pretty toasting at the festival especially in the afternoon. By the time I hit I-25, it was raining in biblical proportions. Do you think shaving my legs will make me look skinnier? 😇
I was in Spain recently where it was 40 degrees C most of the day…very glad to be back in cool Costa Rica!
This heat wave is everywhere. Europe is broiling as is most of the US. Hope pleasant temps are your constant companion.
I am sitting here in my living room, watching two nice young men install my new A/C unit. The window is open and for the first time in weeks, it actually feels cold! I shall take the respite. I know summer is far from over. I also know that I should be able to sleep for the first time in weeks…
