Working Wednesday ~ December 18, 2019

Hi there, it’s me, the Ninja. While most of Blogville is participating in Wordless Wednesday, today is a working day around the Ranch, at least for one of us. Today is the last working day this year for my knuckleheaded brother to spread smiles at West Pines. But first, I have to get him out of bed. Looks like yesterday’s hospital visits took a little out of him. As soon as he came home, he took a long nap.

Sam

Meanwhile for me, there are stuffies to attack play with and squirrels to bark at while he’s working and far too busy to miss him while he visits his friends at West Pines. I just hope he doesn’t try to use that stethoscope on me.

Happy mid-week. Maybe I can help huMom out later after she comes home with some of her Christmas preparations. I have offered to help her out in the kitchen, by licking keeping the floors clean while she’s making treats but she keeps shooing me out. Not worries for me though, I can block sit in the doorway and obstruct her path almost as easily as I can under her feet. Then again I can always use a paw to help tie bows on presents she’s wrapping. I’m a equal opportunity, multi-dimensional helper.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. An equal opportunity, multi-dimensional helper, we are so impressed! We do lots of cleaning the floors too and here it is not always appreciated either. Humans, huh. Happy Holidays friends! B & S

    1. They just don’t realize how helpful we are, do they, Benji and Skye? Happy howlidays to all of you!

  2. Elsa, I bet you are really helpful around the house. I, Lucy, lick the kitchen floor A LOT to keep it shiny clean. Your brother The Dogtor looks very handsome in his whites with his stethoscope. I hope he doesn’t get too worn out. I could come over and lick his furs for him if he needs a lick massage. XOX Lucy

    1. You just never know what tasty tidbits fall on the floor. And as sloppy a cook as my mom is, it’s like manna from heaven.

  3. Oh Sam, I am sure you worked very very hard at your job, and deserve a nice long nap my furiend!
Elsa, I tried to help Ma out too, butts all I gets is ‘move, move, move’ (that’s when I knows she is annoyed…when she says it three times….just cause she almost tripped over me is no reason to gets testy!!! just sayin’…..) I am pooped nows, cause she kept me up all afternoon, so I thinks I’ll take Sam’s lead….
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  4. Oh Ninja, you are so good at what you do – attacking stuffies, chasing squirrels, cleaning the floor, etc. Sam is good at helping people feel better. We all have our place in this world. It would be boring if we were all the same. Keep up the good work!

  5. 🐬🐬 Bravo Sam! 👏🏻😄Thank you for your years of service! 💥💎Sharing your special kind of comfort and love along your path. 🐬 Enjoy your retirement 🧐 Share you wisdom with the Ninja! 🐬

  6. We each have our jobs, Ninja! You just keep huMom entertained (even if she seems a tad frustrated by you tripping her up occasionally)…
    Have a fabulous Wednesday!

  7. Go easy on the Samster…somebody has to keep those blankets warm. They won’t do it by themselves. Protip: wait for the baking to begin and then volunteer for licking clean the mixing bowls!

  8. We depend a lot on the canine floor cleaners when I cook! Good job, Elsa. Give Sam a hug for us. He’s doing different help that is also appreciated.

  9. Just one more workday and you can take a Christmas/New Years vacation. I want to thank you for all the joy your bring.

Have a woof woof Working Wednesday. My best to your mom. ♥

    1. We’re looking forward to a little down time. That is if mom gets her act in gear. Happy mid-week Sandee.

    1. The Knucklehead and I are both firm believers in utilizing one’s best traits in life. He’s good with peeps while I’m a ruthless stuffie killer. 😊

    1. He wins whenever he brightens someone’s day because he love people so much. Seems like a win-win scenario for all.

Please bark your thoughts...but remember no growling.
