Monday Musings ~ January 17, 2020

Monday

What happened…did this troublemaking furry thief steal your weekend like he did ours? Guess Elsa has been falling down with her squirrel patrol duties.

Remember today is President’s Day, so no trips to the bank or post office, ‘kay? We hope today is pawsome and you are able to enjoy an extra day off.

Live, love, bark! ๐Ÿพ

  1. Whatcha talkin’ about? My weekend (also a long one this week, for me) started yesterday ๐Ÿ˜‰ Course, that means everyone I know is off while I’m working so… big deal.

    1. Snort. Just acknowledging the neighborhood thieves properly. Elsa promptly chased the bugger away.

        1. And totally understandable. I like Canada’s Family Celebration Day better. Never fully comprehended president’s day even as a child. Why some and not others? Seems like an ego stroke.

          1. I think you’re spot on about that. Canada has pretty good ideas, don’t they? I never really figured out President’s Day either, and since I didn’t work in a bank or post office, I never got to appreciate it.

            1. For years I worked in a large law firm. Courts were closed, no mail was delivered but we all had to show up. It was all so stupid. Canadians seem to have a much better approach to life in general on a number of fronts.

    1. It’s where we celebrate Washington & Lincoln’s birthdays (since both are in February). Lord help up if we start celebrating the current president’s birthday.

  3. Our weekend – actually ALL of last week – seemed to have flown by too! Unfortunately we got very sad news last evening…our sweet granddog, Max, joined his aunties and uncle at the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday after a sudden internal rupture. That’s all the details I have because Jason (and family) are really torn apart right now and can’t talk about it yet. I can certainly relate to that. So please just send love and prayers their way.

    1. Oh Sue, I’m so sorry to hear about Max joining sweet Callie and Shadow. Oodles of poodle love is flowing your way. ๐Ÿ’–

  4. Mom will take me for a ride in the car today. No bank or post office, but we will buy gas for the car and go to the car wash and the park! Fun!

  5. We’re staying home today. We did our grocery shopping on our way home from the boat yesterday. A day of rest.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups. โ™ฅ

  6. How come there’s no honor for our best President, WIlliam Henry Harrison? He was in office for a month in 1841 and then died. He’s the best because he didn’t have time to do a lot of damage.

Woof any thoughts...but no growling, please.
