Monday Musings ~ March 29, 2021

Monday

Today’s smile will be good advice for Norman who received notice last week the hospital will be re-opening up for pet therapy visits. Exciting news for him as well as for Elsa who seems thrilled that he’ll be occupied for a few days a month. Meanwhile, Norman and I will be working hard polishing up on our skills to bring smiles to patients and staff soon and hope to sail through the certification process easily.

We hope you have a ‘pawsome’ week!

Elsa

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. I love how dogs give us such joy. When Molly and I walk I love to communicate with the neighbors’ dogs, even if sometimes Molly is afraid of them. Seeing their joy at being able to bark at us makes me remember what life for a dog should be like, and helps me to make decisions about Molly’s life today.

    1. They are a blessing in an increasingly ugly world. Thanks for swinging by the Ranch. We 💙 visitors.

  2. Oh, that’s wonderful!! I know seeing Norman bring smiles to those in need will help your own heart heal some as well. And ninja girl Elsa will be happy to have her couch all to herself again. ❤️💙💜

    1. That kind of manipulation surely must be in a dog’s DNA. We’re very excited the hospital is re-opening up for visits and welcome the challenge of certification for it.

    1. At least playing musical sofa is entertaining for the huMom.
      Your fur-iends ,
      Norman & Elsa 🐾

  3. Stormin’ Norman will be happy to get back to his therapy and Elsa will be delighted without his constant attendance. Absence make sthe heart grow fonder. Hear that Tyebe…..now go play somewhere else.

    Shoko

    1. It’ll all be a bit of a surprise for Norman since he hasn’t been inside visiting yet. Hope he likes it. 🤞🏻

    1. I’m really looking forward to it (probably as much as Elsa is to her sole time alone on the sofa). Should be fun as we progress through the process. It’s been so long, I’m sure I’ve forgotten everything I learned long ago when Sam did all the work and I just drove him. 💙

        1. Hope so! There will be a many more protocols in place related to the panDAMNic that I only hope I can remember. I remember when I first started out I was a little freaked out about everything until we did visits a few times. Repetition should make all the difference for success.

          1. Yes, the new protocols….I hadn’t thought of that. I’m sure you will both do fine and that is a great thing you are doing! Good luck and look forward to hearing about your first visit.

  4. omd the eyes… who can resist the eyes. Luckily Milo enjoys hugs as I have to hug him when he looks sweet

    1. When they show up in photos, they are actually lovely eyes. As you well know, it’s hard to photograph these loveable black dogs.

    1. And he gets a break from her Ninja ways. Norman will think he’s won the Lottery.

  5. Awww, you know you really love Norman, Elsa. You know you do.

I’m so happy mom and Norman can get back to bringing smiles to those that need them.

Have a woof woof day and week. Scritches to you, a smooch to Norman and a hug to mom. ♥

    1. It is great news for all concerned. We get out and she gets the throne all to herself.

    1. Thanks Michael. You’re too kind. I hope the staff and patients will enjoy visits from this larger than life fella.

  6. Haha on the comic!!
Yay on the good news about opening up the hospital again, Norm and you will bring so many smiles and Elsa can spread out on the couch and be Queen. 🙂

    1. Like she isn’t already. Ha! But thanks, I’m very excited and think Norman will be a wonderful (if not huge) addition to the group.
