Monday Musings ~ June 7, 2021

Mum: Wake up, Norman.

Norman: Wait…it’s Monday again? Argh. My ear may be standing at attention, I’m just not feeling this whole Monday thing in my bones. Where did my weekend go?

Norman, Elsa and I wish you a happy Monday and an even happier week.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

        1. More snow indeed! Heat is bad enough without the humidity. Our sympathies.

  2. I just found your blog while reading some other blogs. And I like what you write about. I want to continue to read your journey with your dogs. And Monday is the worst day of the week – how do we skip it?

    1. Thanks for the kind words. We truly 💙 visitors. We’re still trying to figure out how to skip Monday’s-not that it matters so much now that I’m retired. Everyday seems like ‘Blursday’ anyway these days. 😆

  3. Oh my pal! What happened to all your furs?! I bets it has to do with your work, huh? sometimes peeps like a short coated puppers, as not to gets too much furs on everythings….I knows, kerazy! I don’t knows what is wrong with leavin’ some furs behind! sigh. Anyhu, I bets it’s cooler anyways. Ma had to almost shave her Angel Panda when she neglected to brush her for a long time 🤭, she looked like you do my furiend, and she seemed to like it, cause it was summer too!
    Sweet dreams and squirrel tails!
    Ruby ♥

    1. Hi Ruby. It was time for a professional groom job-Norman was beginning to look like a bit like a shaggy Muppet with his long hairs. But it was a bit shorter than I expected. Good thing it’ll grow but nice that now that summer has arrived (90’s already-not ready for that!) and will make things a bit more comfortable for everyone when we start visiting the hospital next week. It was good getting rid of the undercoat that was floating around like a bank of clouds.

    1. Thank you, sir. He’s a really love. Hard to believe he came from a rescue group.

    1. He’s just a very laid back boy who’s always ready to kick back and enjoy a good snooze.

  4. Oh, Norman!! After getting such a cooling off fur-cut, no wonder you are tiered out! Petcretary is happy its, Monday…she is off, cause she worked the whole weekend! And nexr Monday she took a vacation day! Oh, Mondays CAN be good…sometimes!

    1. Yes, Mondays can definitely be good. Glad you have today off. We hope it’s a great one for your Petcretary who is always working so hard.

  5. You want to know where the weekend went, Norman….we want to know where all your hair went! We didn’t see you downstairs in Mom’s groom room. XOX Xena and Lucy Pee Ess you look nice and you look very comfy for the hot weather.

    1. Heh, heh. We’re getting ready for summer heat (and some visits to the hospital soon). Norman was beginning to look like a moose sized Muppet.

    1. Monday’s aren’t so bad, but you’re right, this one really popped into view quickly! Here’s to a pawsome week for you!

  6. Mondays, couldn’t have put it better myself Norman – except for the ear thing, LOL!

    1. Thanks for dropping by…especially on a Monday when work should outlawed. Have a great week!

    1. No doubt he’s planning his day by doing some zen meditation. 🧘🏼‍♀️

    1. Not lazy really…just a v-e-r-y chill dog who knows how to make the most of a quiet moment.

  7. Awww, there’s my Norman. He’s so handsome. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a hug to you. ♥

    1. We’re all a bit sluggish this morning. Too much working over the weekend. We need Monday to rest up! Happy Monday, Sandee. Hope you have a pawsome week.

  8. Mom may have been singing Manic Monday but Norman was dreaming about Saturday in the Park, and I can’t says I blame him one bit.

    PS- Cool rug!

    1. Thanks! Yeah, neither of us were quite ready for Monday. I kept thinking it was Sunday. But after last night’s hockey game, I don’t want to have to relive that! Have a great week.

      1. Is anybody ever really ready for Monday?

And whoa! that was a shellacking. The saving grace is that it only counts for one loss.

        1. They’ve been outplayed on the past 3 games. It was a miracle they pulled that win outa the OT. I have no illusions about the Stanley Cup but please, please, please…don’t let it be Vegas or Tampa!!

          1. The Habs are up 3-0 on the Jets and I am excited for them as all get out, since it’s been forever since a Canadian team won it all. Problem is, Tampa would probably be next up and they look like a buzz saw right now. And I cannot tell you how much I loathe that fact.

            1. Yeah, I’m sooooo against any team whose city can’t produce snow naturally. Seeing the Habs giving the Lightning the what-for would be a delight. ‘Course someone would probably have to kidnap Stamkos. Plus it’s a Florida team-kind of like Vegas, only with an ocean.

              1. I am really hoping the Habs can deliver up something special. Canada deserves it.

Florida is a football state, Vegas is for gambling and 10 dollar steaks . . get it right people!

                1. You are most gracious with your state observations. I on the other hand don’t have that kindness factor. In my mind, both destinations are an anathema to good taste.

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
