Love the photo (and the one word)
We are still in stage 5 drought and the Kettle River here is low. We are actually looking forward to snow! Keep being awesome! Marv and Barb
Thanks, guys. Yeah we know all about drought here. I can’t ever remember being up at the top of the lake but it seemed low to me. It sure was clear though. Happy mid week!

There is something special about being near a body of water-perhaps it is the life sustaining element of it, but it was definitely zen-like walking around its perimeter.
A beautiful water scene! Its cool to see the bottom of the lake waters.
Thanks, I love being able to see the bottom in a lake even though I’m sure it’s a bit down due to the drought. It was amazingly clear.
Beautiful. Talk about crystal clear!
Thank you. It was quite unfathomable in my mind. You’d never see water like in the city.
Probably not…
Clear, clean water………….beautiful photo!!
Hugs, Pam
Thanks, Pam. It was most strikingly clear.
SWAMP
Only to beavers and perhaps a few politicians.
Crystal clear and beautiful!
Thanks. It was spectacular! And the best part, it was in Evergreen-just 40 mins away. 😍
Well, yes, we squirrels tend to be shall….. oh, wait, you were talking about the lake!
Hahahahahaha!
shallow but pretty. You’ve seen so much more of Colorado than we have. And so much prettier parts of it.
That site is Evergreen Lake- not that far away and the town is charming with cute shops. You guys should take a quick drive up there sometime.
Such crystal clear water…and a beautiful tree line!
I don’t think I’ve ever been to the head of that lake before and the shallow shoreline was just sooo pretty and worth the trip.

You’re welcome on any of our wanderings.
Love the photo. The water looks so pure.
Clear water and a beautiful view. Two things that certainly equate to having a nice time outside.

Lovely shot!
Many thanks for the kind comment.
Java Bean: “Muy bueno for splashing around in!”
Charlee: “Yeah that’s a hard pass for me.”
Chaplin: “Me too.”
Java Bean: “Your loss!”
That water might be a little chilly for you, Bean. As in Rocky Mountain spring water is co-co-coold 🥶
Lovely, the water is so clear.
Thanks, always enjoy going to Evergreen-it’s close enough to make a quick trip yet very far from the whole city vibe.
What a great fall shot. Beautiful.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to mom. ♥
Thank you, Sandee, I appreciate the link to the blog hop. Soft puppy smooches from Norman and a gentle tail wag from Elsa.
Is that shallow drought caused?
Probably a little, but along that end of the lake, it’s naturally shallow.
Also: Clear
It sure was and I almost chose ‘clear’ as my one word! Happy midweek.
ooh how peaceful and quiet…
It was one of the most lovely days to walk around the lake. Such a pretty day that was ever so tranquil and quiet.
