Happy last Monday of Hades, er I mean July. Maybe it’s a good idea the Olympics have started-we can stay inside to watch the festivities and competition. We missed the controversial opening ceremonies. Guess I was in training like Snoopy. Although this is an event where I would definitely excel and would no doubt win gold.

I missed most of the opening of the Olympics as I was working over the weekend. I did see a bit of the gymnastics on Sunday….haven’t watched any here at home, though.
It’s been sticky and way too hot here, too, even after a rain it doesn’t cool down.
Glad you enjoyed the cartoon. I gotta admit, I love Snoopy and his sweet outlook on life. This is going to be the week from hell temperature wise. Yesterday’s humidity was 9%. Hot, dry and smoky (two fires popped up in the past few days near Denver so we’re getting smoke from them as well as northern California and Oregon. This summer can’t end soon enough for us. Don’t work too hard and stay as cool as you can. Hugs and tail wags.
Sounds like the perfect meal for any day of the week … but especially a Monday!

So far, I haven’t watched any of the Olympics, just heard about it on NPR. Yep, that triathlon sure does sound good!

We like watching some of the olympics, but not all the sports. The opening and closing ceremonies we pass on as we like to get to the good stuff, the competition!
With break dancing entering as a sport this time, it’s as though everyone wants to be part of the action. While I don’t doubt there’s lots of skills and talent required, I think it’s getting a bit ridiculous. I missed the opening as well and probably will miss the closing ceremony too.
I could get into Snoopy’s triathlon too! 😀

Watched the synchronized swimming which was cool. Fun to see the US team win the silver. I think its cool that the two women have been best friends since they were 8 years old and now won an Olympic medal. Happy Monday to you! Yes, stay inside and cool! Supposed to be 96 here today!
It’s definitely a feel good story-one of many. We’ll be closer to 100ºF today and started the day at 4:30 am with…you guessed it, an air quality alert. Ugh. Denver and several other Front Range municipalities are in the doghouse with the EPA. 😭 Yikes! Stay as cool as you can.
Yes, the stories is something I love about the Olympics.
I did also LOVE seeing Celine Dion sing. That was magical and goosebumps! I have liked her for so long, and what a joy to see her sing again after being through so much!!
