A funny thing happened while we were gone

FullSizeRenderYawn…Sam here. The Wi-Fi is super spotty and s.l.o.w. and it’s taken all my special dog powers to add this post. I haven’t been able to read your blogs but will as soon as we can get a decent Wi-Fi signal.

We made it to just shy of the Utah border today and boy am I tuckered out. This traveling thing is exhausting.

While we were traveling homeward, there was some parade thingy for the Broncos for winning the Super Bowl. So there are about 5 million people in the entire state of Colorado and over a million of them showed up for this parade! Downtown Denver was a sea of orange. See…mom told you about Bronco mania and she didn’t exaggerate it at all. The Broncos have demonstrated a ton of class and made the city proud. Congratulations to Peyton and the rest of the team. Way to go.

See you guys once we get a decent Wi-Fi signal!  P.S. The Quality Inn in West Wendover, NV leaves a lot to be desired. 🙁

Live, love, bark! <3

  1. Talk about traffic! Bet you’re glad you didn’t miss that. Welcome (almost) home – Colorado greets you with lovely warm weather and its famous blue skies! 🙂

It was quite balmy when we pulled up at 9 PM last night-still in the upper 50’s! Traffic ‘welcomed’ us back though. 😉

Wendover? You must be on I-80. You should have spent the night in Reno and picked up some change.

Um yeah…about that. Nevada doesn’t exactly make my heart go a-pitter. Every place we stopped throughout the state had casinos-there’s no shortage of ‘opportunities’ (?) along I-80. 😉

I love a good parade and talk about the Broncos – OMP! We were so HAPPY Sunday watching the game. WOW! What a bummer with the hotel’s Wi-Fi. That stinks! Don’t they know you got people to communicate to in blogville? Snorts. XOXO – Bacon

Exactly! The Wi-Fi was ‘free’ so it looks like we got what we paid for, eh? ღ

Snorts – yep nods piggy head. I hate when the hotel Wi-Fi does that. We got important things to post when we are traveling – hotels *must* know this – you think? XOXO – Bacon

Guaranteed that we will never stay in another Quality Inn again! The Fairfield Inn was an absolute delight though and we’d stay there in a heartbeat. Fabulous room and excellent signal. 😉

  4. Mel – Minnesota – Welcome to No Dog About It Blog! My name is Mel and I am a former pet sitter and dog walker from St Paul, Minnesota. This blog was started as a way to share pet information with my clients. Over time, it has become a venue in which to share my knowledge, thoughts and experience on a wide variety of pet topics, products and issues, with a much larger audience. I invite you to share your own comments, questions and experiences. I am always excited to learn from others, and I value the opinions of those who may have a different perspective. A little more about me: I was a volunteer at the Minnesota Valley Humane Society for 8 years (before it closed down) and a foster mom to 4 dogs. I currently have a cat, Nick, and 2 dogs, Daisy and Jasper. Daisy, my Labrador Retriever) is a former breeding dog in a puppy mill. I adopted her after fostering her for a short time. She is my baby, and all I learned about rehabilitating a puppy mill dog I learned from her. You can read more about Daisy, and her search for her "inner Lab" at: http://daisythewonderdog.blogspot.com/ Jasper, my Shetland Sheepdog, was purchased (along with his sister and a cat) from a pet store by a woman who wanted to rescue them from deplorable conditions. He had been in the pet store window for about 8 months and was surrendered to MVHS. I fostered both he and his sister before she was adopted. I decided to keep Jasper as my very own. He and Daisy are the very best of friends. I am a passionate advocate for shelter pets, pet adoption and stopping puppy mills. As a result, you will find that many of my posts reflect these topics. However, I also happen to love to laugh, so you will also find funny pet stories and videos posted on a frequent basis. Again, welcome to No Dog About It Blog! I hope you will continue to come back and share your thoughts, comments and experiences.

What a bummer about the quality of the Quality Inn. What a stroke of luck to be in the neighborhood of the parade! Exciting! I don’t get sports, but I like parades!

    Love and licks,

Ha…if only the ‘pawrade’ were for the patient poodle who fared much better than his peeps in the hotel room. 🐾 Howlellulah-the Wi-Fi only seems to work somewhat just before the crack of dawn but not at midnight. Go figure.
