We’ve all seen videos and photos of dogs who catch a glimpse of themselves in a mirror or window. Some growl, some cock their head, some pounce and bark then again there are those who think, “Dang, am I one handsome dude or what?!”
Here’s hoping the weekend looks good to you.
Live, love, bark! <3
My sight hounds never did give a whiff about reflections or react to voices on the phone, digital device or TV. Loki’s only concern was the woodland bears, coyotes, foxes and skunks. Aria didn’t, and still doesn’t, care so much about any of that as long as you had a hand, full or empty, to pet her and a leg to lean against!
Awww, I miss that sweet girl!
But how could you see that and not think THAT? LOL
Kissy used to bark at first and then walk away from it. Every. Time.
No full-length mirrors in this house, so I’m not sure what these two and their angel sister would have done.
Funny how each dog reacts differently at different times. I would never have pegged Sam for a narcissist, maybe it’s just the poodle in him. π
Lmao!!! Yes yes you are so handsome
*Blush* πΎ
Haven’t introduced Benji to a mirror yet. Must do it sometime to see his reaction – probably look, yawn and go back to sleep.
I know that reaction! π
Arty usually barks at the pup in the mirror π
Those barks always make us smile. π
We don’t pay too much attention to our reflections. Have a great weekend!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
You guys should-you’re handsome dudes!
The poodle took one look and tried to tear the mirror from the wall…now she ignores it.
After one sideways look Stein the Staffie studiously ignores the mirror while his brother Bunter happily licks his image…for ages.
Black Tot treats the image as beneath contempt.
You have to keep a bottle of window cleaner close by when you own dogs.
Your shadow follows you too my friend? Isn’t that so weird. Mine does the same thing and tries to cut in on my beauty. Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
The shadows are the vain ones, Bacon!
YES! And they are the trouble makes. I firmly believe that my deviled ham side is always in the mirror watching… my sweet bacon side never causes problems – evah. XOXO – Bacon
Why do you think I have a mirror in my cage?
Preen away, Kismet!
Mister handsome, for sure! Hope you have a fab Friday, with lots of time to gaze at your reflection π
I’m sure the weekend will include loads of primping. BOL
Heee…pets and mirrors! I also love holding my cats up to a mirror and seeing their face markings backwards. They look so different! Who is that strange cat?
It is indeed funny to watch them check themselves out in a reflection. Egad, I’m easy to entertain! LOL π
Bring on the YouTube videos!
Now that’s a brilliant idea!
Cole puppy was terrified of a mirror! He hated sleeping on our bed because there is a mirror on the wall near the bed! I remember the first time he didn’t panic when seeing himself. LeeAnna
The sheepdogs especially did double takes till the very end. Always cracked me up. Happy weekend! α¦
Sam: Oh whos that handsome boy? Oh wait that’s me duh π
I am kind of handsome, aren’t I? BOL
You’re definitely one handsome dude! Happy fab Friday. π
Thanks, you’re not so bad yourself! π
we had to remove our mirror as Easy started to attack the pup in the mirror LOL
The sheepdogs used to drool and nose print all over the long mirror, it was a constant battle trying to keep it clean…watching them battle their reflection was too hilarious!
Oh brilliant, and so they should, I will always love dogs. Our youngest barks if anything scares her on the to, it is so funny to watch!
