~ Tails Around the Ranch

Originally, this was going to be a post about dog hospice that I started last week but didn’t get completed because I got waylaid. Once I got back on task, I got a call I’ve been waiting for over a month. Which led to a ‘funny moment’ on Friday afternoon which then lead to a weekend that was completely occupied every single minute (those of you who follow us on Facebook know why). Then I realized I had nothing in the hopper so that lead to this picture. Nice recovery, huh? LOL

Since I’m sort of dodging the bullet here, let me ask…have you ever been photo-bombed by your adorably cute BFF?

P. S.: I hope to have the two aforementioned posts finished up shortly. One might be a bit of a shock.

Trust me this is not a complete love-fest about a perfect dog but everything written is written with an underlying love and in hopes that someone can relate to or learn from my experience of being owned by my 18lb four-legged yorkie-x . This will be all about my pooch Monty and my family's struggle to balance what we perceive to be love for him and what he perceives as an opening to 'up' his position in the family hierarchy.     Truthfully, my pups have no idea that cameras serve any purpose other than to take their pics!!! My phone can attest to the fact that they are right! Clouds, flowers, people, scenery are only backdrops and props to make them look better 😁📸

  2. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.

  3. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. I love the music of the '60s and '70s since I was growing up in those decades. I love the Beatles and Andy Williams equally.

  8. Oddly enough, I don’t think Choppy has ever funnily photo bombed me! It’s probably because most of the pictures I take already involve her, so there is no need for the photo bomb!

  12. ruth7933 – I am retired and am full time care giver to my husband who is a disabled Nam Vet with dementia, heart disease, and is an insulin dependent diabetic. I am mother to a grown son, three grown grand children and a beautiful 7 month old great grand daughter. I live with reoccurring MS and myalgia of the lower extremities. Hobbies include being active in the local rock painting group and we hide them all over the county and give hints to where they are hid on our face book page, for other folks to find them. I am also learning how to use my iPhone 7 and iPad. My husband and I are active in 12 step programs and have been clean and sober for many years. We share our lives with a pair of love birds and a guinea pig with an attitude.
