Flowers for Dory ~ A Tribute

Blogville recently lost a dear fur-iend, Dory from Dory’s Backyard and today we will honor her with a tribute and blog hop. While we didn’t know her all that well, we were always inspired by her Flower Friday posts and her smiling face. Sweet little Dory will be missed by everyone in Blogville. We are sending digital hugs and tail wags to her ‘brothers’ Arty (the Mayor of Blogville), Jakey, Bilbo and to her ‘pawrents.’ Dory may be gone, but she will never be forgotten and is no doubt spreading smiles among way too many of the others who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge from Blogville and will definitely be missed.

In honor of sweet Dory, here are a few of Sam’s favorite flowers from around our garden.

  1. In 7+ years of blogging, I’ve lost many friends. It’s so hard because we don’t have to have met dogs and people IRL to learn to care about them.

Wishing every comfort to Dory’s family. It’s a sorrow that visits us all.

  2. Such beautiful flowers! We didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Dory ourselves, but it’s obvious how many loved her and will miss her; and we’re so sad for her family.

  3. I didn’t know Dory, her siblings, or her pawrents; but I am saddened by her passing. As I am each time one of Blogville’s own crosses the Rainbow Bridge. The blog hop is a beautiful tribute to this sweet little girl.

  4. Oh, this is such a lovely tribute to our sweet furiend! You look mighty handsome in the middle of those flowers Sam! I sure do miss her smile….

  5. What lovely flowers!!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us in memory of Dory!
    Love and Hugs,
Jakey, Arty & Bilbo(and Mama and Daddy)

  6. What a wonderful tribute to Blogville’s Dory. And I have never gotten the blog hop thing down quite right either. I’m just glad I could get on it, even if it doesn’t look good at the bottom of my blog!

    1. Thank you, Madi. She was a sweet girl who deserves to see nice flowers today. Thank you for swinging by our ranch. Will we could have met under happier circumstances.
      Your fur-iend,

  7. Hi Sam ~ we are happy to meet you, and you’ve made a beautiful garden picture for sweet Angel Dory today. I’m sorry we did not meet you under better circumstances, but we hope to come back again to visit … we read “about us” and think it is just wonderful that you and your Mom help so many people in need. Paws up from Dougie Dog, and little Zoey.

    1. Many thanks for swinging by the Ranch and appreciate your comment. We didn’t know Dory very well, but loved her sweet smile and her flowers are legendary in Blogville. Sam and I will be swinging by your zoo to get to know you guys better. ❤︎

  8. I tried to do the Blog Hop thing but couldn’t – kept stuffing up. Not very good at these things. However, I did sent an email to Dory’s address and sent a picture of Benji and The WaWa. I think I only met her once but the sadness of her passing from us touches everyone.

    1. I’m not very good with those blog hop things either and getting the links to work in WordPress can be a challenge, but am sure your note will be more than welcomed. ❤︎ Thank you so much for your efforts!

  9. Did not get the pleasure of meeting Dory, but this is a wonderful tribute. Hugs and kisses to Dory’s humans and brothers from me and Tippy.

    1. Thanks, Dakota! We didn’t know her well but know all too much the sorrow of seeing our fur-kids cross the Rainbow Bridge. She was always a bright pawsitive spot especially with her flower share.

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but no growling please.
