Bedhead Monday

Yawn…please don’t tell me it’s Monday already. Ugh. Think I need a spot of a groom to deal with this bedhead look.Norman

This is no way to usher in a new week. Any chance they make Sheepdog mousse? It’s bad enough that it’s snowing again, but to look this bad on top of it…argh!

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. Wait until you have been confined to the house for two weeks, then complain :o) But then again, Benji is short hair so it makes a difference. Luvs yu., Bedhead an’ all…

    1. The confinement has been going on for a month. Every day seems the same and unless I look on a calendar I never know what day of the week it is. Extra ear rubs for my favorite Down Under pooch. 🦘

      1. I am not silly. I know what day of the week it is – ti’s today. Now that I think of it, it’s always today, but that’s good because I always know what day of the week it is., I think…

        1. Ha! Good way to think of it. Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow hasn’t yet arrived so best to stay with just ‘today.’ 😍

  2. BOL! our mom gets bed head – sometimes she looks like bozo the clown Bol!

    1. Aww, thanks. Like so many of us, we’re all going to be looking a bit raggedy for a while. 😇

  3. Not sure you shuud bee puttin Moose inn yore furss Norman…Maybee you cuud just tell Miss Monika thiss yore ‘Billy Idol” look!! Tuff-Doggie-Dude! Whatcha think Norman???

    1. Norman, tuff?? Bwahahahaha! He’s more like a big pussy cat in a furry dog coat.

    1. Everyone around the Ranch is looking a bit ragged. Happily Norman doesn’t mind because he lives making uprights smile.

    1. Ha! Yes a hat is everyone’s best friend these days to either hide bedhead or bad self haircuts. 😂

  4. Oh Norm, I feel your pain although you have a lot more hair than me. I like the very slightly cross-eyed look that comes staring down a long nose, too. Max had a different problem today. The lawn guys cut the back yard which was looking like an out take from a National Geographic special – the one where the wildebeests return to the Serengeti after the annual deluge. But the tall grass was still soaked from overnight’s rain so when the Malt went out for his constitutional he came back a solid green color on his complete underside and grass clippings all over his body. A catastrophe for a small white animal. Tough Monday all around!

    1. Awk! Max’s ‘greenery’ no doubt did not please the AJF. Sorry if a bath was involved.

    1. Very kind of you to say that. It does look much better on him than it does on me! 🤣

    1. We can only hope. The days have blended into one another so much I barely recognize and always must consult a calendar just to verify. I could have sworn yesterday was Friday. 🤣

      1. 🙂 … A different topic …. Do you agree with this statement … Vine in English is wine in German, but wine in German is vine in English.

  5. Haha, Norman probably looks better than most of us who haven’t visited a hair salon in months. 😉 You can just feel the desperation growing along with the hair and emerging natural hair color!

    1. Can’t help but chuckle a lot on our daily walks with the various shades of green, blue, purple, pink and grey showing up in a large number of adults! LOL

  6. Norman is looking beautiful and what can you expect on a Monday morning. Zac and Rosie don’t need any grooming, but Zac gets jealous when we brush Lady and has to have a turn. He gets quite jealous.
    Best wishes,
    Ro

    1. Elsa is the jealous one around here, Except when the slicker brush comes out. Then she runs to what she considers her ‘safe’ spot where no one is supposed to be able to get her. LOL

  7. The good news, Norman, is your Mom is an accomplished groomer and can have you looking good as new in no time. Now, if only our Dad could get a haircut…. (nope, he won’t let Mom touch his hair.) XOX Xena and Lucy

    1. ‘Accomplished’ might be a bit of an overstatement-grooming a sheepdog seems so foreign despite having owned and groomed two of them for years. I just hope I can work at it a bit at a time until I get back into the swing of performing OES grooms. We need some grooming magic!!

  8. Awww, love this. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a woof woof day and week. My best to your sister and your wonderful mom. ♥

  9. With my hairdresser’s closed – for how long, no one really knows, of course – I keep wondering how to groom myself. 😉 Maybe an military-look buzz cut? Or should I shave my head bald? 😉 Well, after all, there’s still the lawn mower and/or the chainsaw. 😀
Take care, my friends, and stay healthy,
    Pit

    1. 😂 I’ve considered that myself. Cutting my hair last November was poor timing; shorter hair requires lots of maintenance haircuts in between. For dogs and peeps. At least with long hair, you can ponytail. 🥺

      1. Btw, we still have the hair cutting machine we bought for our pets. Maybe that will work, and I don’t have to go to the last resort, the chain saw. 😀

    2. My teenaged daughter told me her friends are dyeing their hair all sorts of colours while they’re in lockdown. They wash out after a few washes but they’re going a bit stir crazy. She took the dog for a 9 9 km walk.

      1. I’ve been seeing a bunch of adults with blue and purple hair lately. You can always spot the bored ones from a block away. 😁

        1. That’s so funny. I am quite baffled when people talk to me about needing something to do. I’m busier than ever atm. Part of that is also that I’m currently in he middle of the A-Z Challenge which is full on every year, mostly because I haven’t written my posts beforehand, and keep repeating the sin year after year. However, for single people who live for work and have lost their jobs, it could be a huge jolt and really very stressful and uncomfortable psychological territory. That reminds me of a few people I need to get in touch with.
          Best wishes,
          Ro

          1. Americans (as a generalization) seem incapable of not having every moment stuffed with activities. I think relaxation is difficult for them.

            1. That’s interesting. We’re a bit of a mixed bag here. We do have a cultural stereotype of the lay back Aussie and there is truth to that, although we also have a good number of people who never stop, which probably includes myself.

              1. So many people just can’t seem to disconnect, especially those who work for large companies. They’re constantly checking emails when on vacation. My old boss often scheduled conference calls when he’d be on vacation from locations from around the world. It’s probably why we have fewer national holidays and loads of pressure to be available for work at all times. And we wonder why heart disease is so prevalent. 😳

      2. Well, I don’t think I’ll dye my hair, but in a few weeks I might look like I did in the 1970s, when long mop-like hair was all the craze. Or like Tom Hanks in “Cast Away: 😉

    1. The pandemic doesn’t exactly make for runway looks…only run-away looks. LOL

    1. Yeah, but they usually have PJ’s on when they look like that. All. day. long. 😆 Happy Monday, Cupcake.

  10. I’ve tried to get my hair to do that. It’s snowing for the second day in a row now so it’s either bed head or hat head

    1. Yeah, when you want that look, you can never get it. Even with mousse! Stay warm, it’s pretty chilly out there.

    1. Bwahahaha! Clearly it’s better to view the glass half full so thanks for that perspective, Kate. 💇🏻
