Smiles

Well, I’d only want another Sunday if the Broncos weren’t playing. Boy did they stink it up yesterday. They’re becoming the Miami Dolphins of the West! How’d your team do? Here’s to a good week, no matter how your team played.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

    1. This time of year can be hard on fans with ‘quiet’ teams. But saving face still can work magic in a fan’s heart. 🧡

    1. Actually pretty smart on your part. It’s a waste of a good Sunday to watch them anymore. I turned it off and did something productive. The highlights (such as they were) were more than enough for me to realize I spent most of the afternoon in a better pursuit.

  1. Mee-yow wee sorry yore teem clafed out…so did BellaSita’ss Steelerss…mee Packerss made short werk of them! GO Cheeze Headss!

  3. We would take another SUNday any day, but since our Chiefs FINALLY got their act together, we would love a replay of yesterday.

    1. They looked pretty good. Darn it! 🤣 actually I’m a big fan of Patrick Mahomes. He’s an amazing QB.

    1. I think you’re the only person who read my post and “got” it. Our teams are a pitiful pair.

            1. I know what you mean. Besides hockey starts on the 12th and even preseason hockey will be better!

  4. Well, Annabell’s team won the Rugby League ( Penrith Panthers) and my team ( Canberra Raiders) were in there – somewhere. Still, not too unhappy – they did fairly well overall.

    1. AWK! Not KC!! Although I must say I do like Patrick Mahomes. He seems like a good guy. Andy Reid on the other hand… Additionally KC was founded by Lamar Hunt. Probably don’t need to go past that on a G-rated blog.

I’ve been a Pack fan since I was a baby tadpole but really ‘cheesed’ (pun intended) at the way they treated Aaron Rodgers.

    1. That last sentence completely nails it. Myself, I had no illusions of a good season, but always hope the team will at least show up. 🙄

    1. A loss when you’ve played as well as possible isn’t so bad. But when you can barely get a first down, it’s more than the other team is better.

  5. we neither… the mama could not find da way out of the bed and we got a very late breakfast today… 30 minutes… for a one day fly this is the whole childhood…

    1. We stayed in bed later too this morning. It’s dark and crisply cool. Better to stay in bed nice and toasty warm.

  6. Sorry your team did so poorly.

Love that graphic. I felt that way when I was working. Now everyday is Saturday and Sunday.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups and a smooch to Norman. ♥

    1. Mostly I don’t care but this town is SOOOOO Bronco crazy. I gave up on them when Peyton Manning retired and they somehow thought it was a good idea to get rid of an offensive line. Beyond the now injured QB, his hapless replacement and a few defensive players, I’m terribly out of touch with the team. Besides, I prefer hockey whose season begins next week. LOL

    1. Sadly they didn’t beat Kansas City, but they played far better than the Broncos and their quarterback didn’t receive a concussion (as far as I know). Happy Monday, Rachel!

        1. It is, but they played hard (at least from what I saw at towards the end. Losing isn’t as bad when a team at least tries and plays remotely well.
