When leo was a teenager in London, there used to be a house he passed on his way to school which had a totem pole in the front gaden. Years later we met the son of that house in France!
Haven’t seen an owl for a couple of years now-which makes me sad-love seeing owls. Did see a very large hawk sweep through on Saturday. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! So wished I had my phone out to video it but it was here and gone before I could even pull it out of my pocket.
Yikes, poor Helmut…🥶 It was 37ºF (about 2ºC) here this morning. Definitely cooler than this recent visit to a nearby lake that installed some totem poles.
OMD how cute is dat!!
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
Isn’t it though? It sure made me smile when I looked closely at the faces.
That’s quite the whimsical Totem Pole! Such bright colors!
Isn’t it, though? Makes me giggle just thinking about it.
Yes, those colors beckoned me to check this out more closely.
That is great!!!! A real artist made it!
It’s a cool addition to a Jefco park in Westminster.

Wow, now that’s taking the ole adage “it’s a small world” to a whole ‘nother level. Very cool!
How cool is that!!! You always find the most unique decorations and such.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That or I live in the weirdest neighborhood in town! 🤣
I love totem poles. This was a great way to meet the middle of the week, Monika.
Especially when you don’t have to take things too seriously. 😆

Love the tongue on the dog toward the bottom of the totem pole!!
It’s definitely more whimsical than a scary totem.
Beautiful and I love all the colors.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a hug to mom. ♥
your totem reminds me that we’re lucky enough to be seeing more big owls around lately… are you?

Stick your tongue out on me? I’ll do a flyover dive bombing.
Wouldn’t blame you one bit, either.
Lulu: “Is that squirrel sassing me? Because I think it’s sassing me.”
Squirrels are like that, Lulu. Sorry.
I see a squirrel sneaking up on the critter with his tongue out…
It’s Brandon…causing TROUBLE. 😈
Cute totem poles are much nicer than scary ones! 😉
Those poles are a guarantee to smile. And who’d have thunk they’d be installed in Westminster?! Pretty cool, huh?
Kudos to Westminster!
Kensington Park!
I love totem poles. This one is lovely!
Thanks, they are so interesting to view. This one was recently installed at a nearby lake/park.
They are.
