Wordy Wednesday ~ September 7, 2022

Let’s cool things down, at least visually. To all those baking in record high temps, this is for you.

    1. Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for swinging by the ‘Ranch.’ We love visitors, especially fellow Coloradans! You’re so right, today’s cooler temps have been paradise.

  1. Summer seemed to end abruptly about two weeks ago, which is odd since the heat usually drags into September. It’s not quite Fall-like yet, but definitely getting there…

    1. Hmm, that’s a clever idea…maybe I should play Christmas carols although anything Christmasy in September makes me nauseous. 😆

  2. the glaciers won’t be around forever, or even much longer. DH brought up there are ancient viruses also thawing with them… good news is religious leaders are now suggesting we should take care of the earth… so little so late

    1. Mendenhall Glacier has shrunk a significant amount since the 1950’s. If we don’t fry to a crisp, I doubt our grandchildren let alone great grandchildren will ever see a glacier.

    1. Ooooh that sounds divine. We’re supposed to be in the eighty’s next week. Indian Summers are beautiful.

    1. It sure is better than what we’re experiencing in the West currently. Stay cool if you can. I heard San Diego was 108 yesterday.

    1. So glad for you! A few more heat advisory days for us then 80’s next week. Indian Summer is around the corner. Enjoy that refreshing moisture.

    1. I heard that…unbelievable! Hoping those hot temps break soon. Sending cooling thoughts your way.

  3. Thank you for this. Yesterday it was 112 degrees here. Three more triple digit days and then it will break. It’s so HOT.

Have a fabulous Wordy Wednesday. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to mom. ♥

    1. I’ve been reading about the temps out there. Unfathomable. Try to stay cool. Thinking of you and sending cool thoughts. Hugs and tail wags from all of us.

    1. I’ll bet you do-gah…I cannot fathom what it’s like out your way. We’ll be close to 100ºF again today but it’s not quite as hot as California. Stay cool if you can. Hugs and tail wags from all of us at the Ranch.

  4. Not quite our case! We’ve been waking up to 55 degrees. It does get up to 75 or so later in the day (perfect temps that I wish we had all summer!)
    Beautiful picture, Monika!

    1. Thank you, Dale. Mendenhall is one of the most breathtaking sights. Another heat advisory day with temps near 100ºF again…although this morning it was a nice 61F. I’m so looking forward to sweater weather.

      1. I would love to take an Alaskan cruise one day.
Ugh to the heat advisory. I am SO looking forward to sweater weather, too.
We might reach 77 today, 79 tomorrow and 81 on Friday. But it’s sans the awful humidity so I am good with it.

        1. Hope you get a chance before climate change ruins those amazing glacial sights. Mendenhall is shrinking way too quickly. Here’s hoping the humidity stays low. Bring out the sweaters and sweatshirts!

    1. These days, I’m almost looking forward to a winter coat but definitely would like sweater weather to arrive post haste.

    1. Yo, VIP
      Let’s kick it
      Ice ice baby
      Ice ice baby
      All right stop
      Collaborate and listen
Ice is back with a brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
      Will it ever stop?
      Yo, I don’t know
Turn off the lights and I’ll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.
